Uniform of Choice?

Which of these two uniforms would you put on your crew?

  • later DS9-TNG movie uniform

If one day you woke up and found yourself on your own real USS ENTERPRISE (TOS) ship, which of these two uniforms would you chose your hand picked crew to wear? FRANK GRAYSON is going to have to make this same exact choice...which one would be your choice?

Yes, TOS's uniform in not included.. just the two I have included..

I re-worded it. A character in a story I am writing on FAN FIC is going to have to make the choice...depending how this vote turns out? He will chose the winner..

Still a bit tenuous - let's see whether a debate developes. ;)

The audience here is nicer :)

Of the two, I prefer the second DS9 style uniform. It's still a military uniform but it's not so rigid as the TUC one.

Yeah...I am with you. TWOK uniforms have the nautical look to them, for sure. But they look to bulky..I would go with DS9 as well...but will be fun to see how the vote goes...I will decide a great deal!!

I liked the DS9 uniforms from the get go-but I REALLY liked the uniform Kirk wore in TWOK. However, they looked damn uncomfortable so I voted DS9.

I had to go with the TNG/DS9 uniform. I never cared for the other uniform - it seems neither practical nor comfortable.

First Contact & "Endgame" era uniforms, hands down - no contest. But there have been some fanon variants I've liked more.

Neither. If the Big E suddenly popped into orbit and it ended up in my possession and I got to choose the crew, we'd wear US Navy work coveralls adorned with patches designed by ME.

Robert Scorpio: I'd like to see you work on something post-Dominion War than re-inventing a fixed, canon point in Trek.

Perhaps a new story with Captain Maxwell returning to Starfleet's point-position, with some old adversaries / former friends of the DS9 & Enterprise-D's crew as Maxwell's senior staff.

Maxwell is out to justify his cold-blooded attacks on Cardassian vessels and rescue his career. Certain Cardassians (bloodied, but not destroyed) might be in a position to give him the now declassified answers he desires. He's also been recruited by a "Star Chamber" of paranoid/vigilant Admirals to investigate unusual leads and pursue the truth.

At the point in the timeline where the Enterprise-E's still in drydock after the Reman Incident, & the U.S.S. Titan's just about to disappear briefly to the Small Magellanic Cloud with Riker & all hands aboard.

^ So why don't you write it then?

Overall I prefer either "The Cage" uniforms (with the grey over-jackets), or DS9/First Contact era myself.

Out of those two I'd go with the late DS9 version.

But I think the an Ent style uniform would be more practical. It at least appears to have several pockets to carry bits and pieces.

EXODUS was my 'post Nemesis' story, and the rest of the The Weer Family stories as well...But the appeal of creating a totally new TREK story, with a real USS ENTERPRISE in it, but throwing characters from our time on it, from our 'real universe' was just a cool concept I had for years and BBS finally gave me a place to do it......and I like because, for me as a writer, it just offers a wealth of new ideas that a post-Nemesis story doesn't...

because Hellsgate's specilaity is hijacking other people's threads with his own ideas and often twisting their ideas to suit his own version of same.

:rommie:

I know that, but I keep hoping that one day he'll GET THE FARKING HINT if I keep prodding him in this fashion... ;)

Excuse me for expressing / exchanging points of view with other Members I mistakenly believed was the point of a BBS. *rolls my eyes*

I wouldn't sweat it, 'gate. Calhoun's been on a rip and tear latelyjudging by some of his posts in other forums/threads-I think he's having a bad week. And I guess, he's also expressing a viewpoint-just one that you may not concur with. (I am NOT looking to get in the middle of a shooting war, here.) Just do your thing and have fun.
