Undo Process: The Racialicious Review For 'The Day Of The Doctor'

On Doctor Who‘s 50th anniversary, Steven Moffat decided to give the Doctor a birthday gift. But as with all things Moffat, it comes with strings attached.

The reviewer makes some commentary about the lack of people of colour in the episode:

You might notice that this is all rather white-guy centric. You would be right. Weeping Angels aside, blink and you’ll miss Peter De Jersey as the only Time Lord of Color left on Gallifrey.

He also makes yet another stupid attack against Man Of Steel over the Zod thing;:roll eyes:

On one level, the move comes off like a rebuke to films like Man of Steel, where the hero makes the Impossible Choice and emerges wiser for it; remorse has been a defining trait for The Doctor ever since he returned in 2005. But now we’ve learned that his guilt began as far back as the closing moments of the Eighth Doctor’s life, which led him to renounce his title entirely and become the man some fans have labeled The War Doctor (John Hurt).

Undo Process: The Racialicious Review For Doctor Who: The Day Of The Doctor

Thoughts, anyone?

Russell T. Davies was so focused on interracial couples that the black race was bred out of the Doctor Who universe.

Considering the percentage of the UK population of African descent is like 3 or 4% , they seem to have plenty of representation overall in Doctor Who and other British media. There are twice as many 'Asians' (Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, etc) and yet I don't recall nearly as many characters of those ethnicity showing up in Doctor Who, nor half as much complaining about that lack.

Looked to me like about half the people in the Gallifreyan war room were black.
Enough with the facts, Dammit. There's no point debating you, if you're gonna sink so low as to bring facts into the debate ;)

Besides, that's even more racist showing The Blacks were prominent in everything going to HELL :p

Hopefully at some point in the future scientists will be able to create an electron microscope powerful enough to allow me to string together molecules to form a violin small enough to play for the reviewers benefit.

Wait...I suspect I'd come up A LOT shorter in that scenario then just the Electron Microscope :alienblush::alienblush:

Do you have some skills you'd like to share with us, concerning playing violins or even stringing electrons together
