Uncharted 3 - Drake's Deception

The 3rd game in the franchise due to come out Christmas 2011 has a name and also a small teaser trailer...

Uncharted 3 would heavily follow the theme of deception with Nathan Drake deceiving other characters, he himself being deceived and a mysterious deception regarding Drake's ancestry.

The sequel will focus on his mentor, Victor "Sully" Sullivan, while also giving insight into how Drake is descended from the British explorer, Sir Francis Drake. The story takes place in the Arabian peninsula as Drake searches for the lost city of Iram, or as Lawrence of Arabia called it, The Atlantis of the sands

It also appears that Uncharted 3 will also follow the party line and offer a full 3D gaming experience. "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception fully supports high-resolution Stereoscopic 3D."

found out a little more on gameplay...

Gameplay details include expanded co-op and multiplayer modes, improved reverse climbing, and the ability to shoot multiple enemies at once.

The game will also feature the ability to engage multiple enemies in melee combat, and will also sport new stealth abilities.

After Batman: Arkham Asylum, any game with meele has no excuse for a chain/link up system when fighting hand to hand. I am also glad to hear about more co-op and improved stealth...

I hope Naughtydog actually has the AI reloading their guns like in number 1 and not having seemingly 1 large unlimited clip in there gun :p
 
Looking forward to this as well. Next year is lining up to be pretty big for me in terms of games I want.
 
What could his deepest fear possibly be? Sully turns out to be the bad guy? A clown jumps out from the sand?

2010 after a bright start just hasn't hooked me as much as I hoped for. 2011 seems to have a nice lineup of games like...

Dead Space 2
Batman: Arkham City
Uncharted: Drake's Deception
LA Noire
SW: TOR

tons more maybes and we might even see Metal Gear Rising, AC 3 and ME 3.

I like the look of a more serious looking Drake to go with what seems to be a more darker story.
 
I just want the co-op campaign games that come out next year that I can play with BigFoot, such as:

Resistance 3
Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One
PlayStation Move Heroes (horrible title, Heroes on the Move was better)
Lord of the Rings: War on the North (if it's good)

Games that could have co-op campaign:
Batman: Arkham City
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Aliens: Colonial Marines
 
The PS3 is going to have a great year in 2011. inFAMOUS 2, Killzone 3, Reistance 3, Mass Effect 2 and now Uncharted 3. Not to mention what may very likely be a new IP reveal on Dec. 12.


I look in the pipeline for Xbox in 2011 and I'm just not seeing an oppurtunity to play my new Xbox very much.

Both will have co-op the question is what...

I expect Arkham City to have some sort of co-op challenge mode but Uncharted hopefully will either have the co-op modes of 2, something like SC:Conviction a seperate but canonical story or maybe some of the levels in the main game will have co-op option like COD WAW did (they had most but not all)

Didn't like 1 and not played 2 but I might be tempted with this one though I have a thing about playing with total strangers in co-op because many turn out to be dicks and my friends are playing less and less 360 these days :(

If only I was that excited about the 'Uncharted' movie. Really, Naughty Dog should just use the game engine and the voice cast and crank out some animated movies. I'd pay for that shit. I would.

Meh. Looks as boring as the first two games. I tried to play Uncharted 1 and 2. They both bored me to death. If the 3rd one is in the same style as the first 2 then forget it.

Uncharted 2 will forever remain one of my favourite games of all time.

Also, Mark Wahlberg is sooo wrong for the role of Nathan Drake. Sigh.
