I've just seen the trailer during the break between QI and Argumental. I'm a bit miffed that the music has been changed from the US trailer that came out a few weeks ago.

If their pushing this movie on a sports channel which isn't watched by that many people, then I wonder how many advertising slots they have brought on mainstream channels like ITV 1 and E4. I'm guessing - a truckload.
Watched an hour of TV this morning before leaving for work, didnt catch anything at all.

Saw a big superwide poster in the central atrium thingy at Lakeside today. Thats a pretty big ad placement, and given how The Simpons Movie ads were still up for the movie MONTHS after the DVD was out, The Star Trek ads could hang around for some time

Its quite a big placement though isnt it. Its right in the atrium as you approach House of Fraser i think.
i didnt go into the multi plex at lakeside, even though we ate right next door at that Spur American Grill place on the Boardwalk, but i didnt think to look.

I tried to steal a Superman Returns bus stop poster once in 2005, you know the cool one where hes over the Earth, his hands out stretched....
It was damn impossible, i tried everything. It was in a remote location so i wouldve got away with it, but it was fucking bomb proof.

Vue Lakeside isnt a bad theatre, Student Discount on normal tickets is a pretty decent price, but its £15 for the gold class cinema, which gives you the privilege of legroom and getting pissed. Theyre both nice, but unless its a blinder of a film your seeing (I was lucky enough to see There Will Be Blood) you cant help but feel ripped off

Im up for it. Well grab some high-vis gear and pretend to do maintenence or some shit, then you run one way, and i'll run the other way and we'll meet at the Apple store where the guards will loose us due to all the intense Apple copyrighted lense flares, we'll be used to it, however, due to our over-exposure to J.J.Trek.
