Ugliest uniform?

What is the ugliest uniform (any sport) that you have ever seen?

For me, it's these:

- White Sox uniforms from the 80's with the red stripes.

- White Sox SHORTS. What...the...FUCK?

- Squint-inducing Astros rainbow unis.

- Anything worn by the Pirates in the 70's.

- All-red (jersey AND trouser) Indians unis. Again, it's the 70's.

- Red Sox green jerseys.

Must have been some mass psychosis that swept the sports world in the 70's. Most of those ugly uniforms I mentioned were from that era. Ugly uniforms AND ugly stadia...

Only one that's still used is the Red Sox green, and they fortunately only do that on some days (must be an Irish thing).

The '70s was a pretty ugly decade all-around.

The Red Sox wear the green jerseys during Spring Training to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The only times they've worn a green jersey during the regular season were to honor Red Auerbach after he died in 2007, and then to honor the Celtics after they won the NBA Championship in 2008.

Those Padres camouflage jerseys are no picnic either, but at least they do it for a good cause as well.

This is one legendarily ugly shirt from Germany (VFL Bochum) I think 1999ish,

but almost any random soccer jersey from the late 80s/early 90s would qualify too with a famous example, the Netherlands 1988; brilliant team, horrifying shirt:

here's a bunch more, really they were ubiquitous. This was before the time when fans actually bought the shirts to wear to games I think, so the clubs didn't give a shit.


Artsy shirts are horrible too though.

The Houston Astros' old orange "rainbow" uniform has to be on the list. Just do a google search for "Houston Astros uniform" and they'll be most of the results.

must be the stereotype hungarian roadworker (summer season). a dirty white net t-shirt, yellow work-pants with his ass hanging out and random baseball cap with beer logo.

you can then complete the uniform with some horrid looking japanese tattoos, a rusty 50 year old shovel and a random 1.5 liter cola bottle filled with beer.

The Oregon Ducks had a few years of Ugly Uniforms for a while. Thankfully they went to the black, which looks really cool. I'd also say the Cal Bears Bumble Bee uniforms were ugly too.

This might be the only time I've ever seen the Titans listed on an "ugliest of" considering their relatively conservative uniforms.

^ Ah, the Pirates...

Back in the day, they had two or three different jerseys, caps, trousers, etc., and basically wore whatever they felt like. No 'road' or 'home' unis, as such, it was pretty much random. Sometimes they'd even mix and match. On any given day it was impossible to predict what they would be wearing.

Oh, as for that pic: Kent Tekulve totally looks like Bill Gates.
