UFOs. Do you think they are real?

I was watching the History Channel the other day and came across a show that was talking about a UFO sighting in Los Angeles in 1942. It was called "The Battle of Los Angeles". I have never heard about this before now, (the Los Angeles sighting) and think it's really interesting. Supposedly they tried to shoot the craft down, they weren't sure if it was a real UFO or something from the Japanese. Here's soom footage about it:

I always have thought UFOs are real. I can't imagine we are the ONLY living creatures in this universe.

No.

I mean, I don't think we're the only life forms in the universe either. I just think that Earth, by its very nature, must be so primitive as to be unworthy of any aliens visiting us. If *you* were an alien, would you want to come here? Surely alien societies would be much more advanced. So there'd be no reason for them to visit US.

If we(humans) were more advanced we would be visiting primitive planets...maybe that is only human nature and not sure "aliens" would have the same nature but we would.

No, I don't believe in UFOs. Would I like to see the day that we DID contact alien life. HELL yeah, but I don't think it will happen in my life time---not even close.

Yes, I think unidentified flying objects are real. As to whether, UFOs are spacecraft from an advanced alien civilization that has traveled here and they are secretly monitoring us, I highly doubt that. I think UFOs are probably some sort of unknown physical phenomenon maybe some type of plasma ball.

Well I’ve always believed that if human kind had been around in place of the dinosaurs and we didn’t annihilate our self’s we’d be some 200+ million years further along than we are now. And I’d see us out amongst the stars exploring.

So yes I think they are real, who's to say there is not a civilization that isn't eons ahead of us?

UFOs as unexplained phenomena? Yes.
UFOs as alien spacecraft? No.

I would say highly doubtful.

Intelligent life SOMEWHERE else in this universe? I would actually be more surprised if we WERE alone. But unless we find something that truly contravenes the physics we know and understand, I highly doubt the "UFOs" we see on Earth have anything to do with aliens. (Such a finding could happen, but at this point I see no reason to speculate along those lines.)

I believe that there are other intelligent races in the universe, but I doubt that any of them have ever visited us.

No i don't think UFOs are real, I'm sure the universe is teeming with life, i just don't believe that little green men with big eyes are flying about our planet abduction people and cattle and probing them.

This really needed a poll.

Yes. Extraterrestrial
Yes. Non-Extraterrestrial
No.
Maybe...I dunno.

Humans study animals that are far less intelligent than us. This study often involves sitting in uncomfortable hides for hours on end just to get a few minutes of footage of an elusive animal. Couldn't aliens be in interested in our behaviour as humans are in the behaviour of meerkats?

That said, I don't believe UFOs are extra-terrestial though of course UFOs do exist, but if they are identified they are no longer UFOs.

No.

And I hate it when people that aren't into sci-fi but know I am think that automatically means I'm some sort of UFO nut. Please check me first befoer you assume I think aliens visit us in flying saucers.
