I actually really like the Kelvin. I was not a fan of Single nacelle ships, but this one is nice.

I think it's weird that they actually toned BACK the livery, even on the Enterprise.

Yeah, and? It's a bussard collector. Makes sense to put the scoopy bits right behind the magnetic element as opposed to on the side of the nacelles (or in this case, nacelle).

Yes, she has some glowy bits at the end of her warp-engine.
Could you tell us why the TOS-Enterprise had glowy bits at the front of her warp-engines?

Hideous.

The stretched out shapes are clearly meant to evoke the original starship Enterprise but look like a garbage scow. The textures make it looks ribbed for your pleasure or something post digestion.
