Me too. I wonder if all the designers wanted a part of the Enterprise, but there was less interest in the Kelvin, giving us a clear demonstration of the trouble with too many cooks in the kitchen.

Nice design. Very bulky and retro/pre-TOS in respects. Like shipbuilding design techniques from the Archer era were still being used several generations later and the fleet still fielded sort of unwieldy, lopsided ship designs.
