Twin Peaks Season 2 Final Episodes: Yea or Nay?

Do you think the show should have ended with the resolution of Laura Palmer’s murder or do you think the rest of Season 2 deserve to be a part of the Twin Peaks story? Why?

I’m asking because I'm wondering if I should stop my watching of the show with the episode in which Laura’s murder is solved or with the end of the overall series.

It's hard to answer your question, because, IMO, the rest of Season Two is not consistent in quality.

The resolution of the Laura Palmer murder plot is followed by some pretty poor episodes. But the quality of the show does improve dramatically toward the end of the season--and you have to pan through the mud to get to the gold.

If this is your first time, then I would recommend that you tough it out, and watch the whole series. In the end, your patience will be rewarded--and after that, when you re-watch the show, you can skip a lot of the second-season dross, and still understand what's going on.

Watch it.

There's only 6 episodes or so that are really weak, and even they have a couple of good moments per episode. The series picks up, and the Lynch directed finale is incredible.

As a series I think it had great potential going into the third season.
