TWILIGHT discussion/appreciation thread [POSSIBLE SPOILERS]

Calling all Twilight fans, Team Edward and Jacob members, and Cullens. Anyone who's read or seen Twilight knows it's the best vampire thing out there.

Simple: what do YOU obsess over in Twilight? What was your favorite book? Did you prefer the movie? Pattinson or Lautner?

Take it away! :D ;)

Um, no.

I hope this is a joke thread, because "Anyone who has read or seen Twilight knows" it is poorly-written crap. And that's being polite.

My wife, who resisted the temptation to read the Twilight books and watch the movie for a good long while, finally gave in this spring when the DVD came out. Here is her reaction to the movie:

"It's... it's kind of like when you're dating someone and you break up every few days because it's just not working out, but you really want it to work out, even though you know there's no chance it ever will. That's how I feel about this movie. It's so, SO bad, but I keep watching it hoping it will get better, somehow?"

Sorry, can't watch a movie that glamorizes Pedophilia. I mean, the guy must be hundreds of years old and goes after a high-schooler? :p

I've read all four books, went to the midnight showing for the movie. Absolute more boring midnight showing I've EVER been to.

Didn't hate the books--not NEARLY as bad as Eragon--but finding that I just can't maintain much interest in them.

Because I read all four books, and it's almost become a hobby to compare movies to the books they're based on, I will probably see New Moon. I just probably will wait 'til it's on DVD and get it at Redbox with a free code. It'll be interesting to see how the movie goes with a new director. It worked for Harry Potter, so who knows. (but then again, HP is just thousands times better than Twilight, so... yeah)

New Moon (the movie) has a bigger budget than Twilight did. Twilight was O.K., but Stewart bothers me anyway, in any film she's in.

The books were O.K. for teen fiction, though the last one was was unbearable.
