TV Squad: Is there hope for a new TV show?

Bryan Fuller seems to repeat the same statement every couple of months about wanting to do a show, but there never seems to be any real news or sense of something moving forward.

He just wants to do a new Trek series. Some time. Not necessarily now.

They should make a NuVanguard series. 
It wouldn't come out until the end of the second movie at the very earliest.
And please for the love of zeus:
1) No more forehead of the week aliens.
2) No more magic reset buttons at the end of episodes.
3) No more stupid contrived time travel episodes. Unless they have an idea that would blow our socks off.
4) Some interesting alien main characters. Some of the most interesting/liked main characters have frequently been non-humans (well apart from Neelix who bucked that trend). A member of Alnschloss K'Bentayr's species would be interesting (the alien on the Kelvin bridge).
5) Some writers that can think outside of the box.

Seems pretty multi-faceted, other than... SCI FI.
