It was on Saturday (and syndicated), but would be curious to see how Legend of the Seeker did over the weekend...

intereting ratings for King of the Hill & American Dad, that said KotH axing is probaly more to do with age, than ratings.

CBS are complete dumbshits; first they cancelled Shark through their own ineptitude and now they're sinking The Unit as well (which actually has three million less viewers than Shark did!). Why is Moonves making so many mistakes that a moderately bright 14 year old could avoid?

I would be as well. Mark, any idea where these would be found? Given that it's syndicated, I'd guess they might be a little harder to track down....

Winners...
Sunday Night Football, Extreme Makeover, Cold Case, Desperate Housewives, 60 Minutes, Football Overrun, The OT, The Simpsons and Family Guy

Honorable Mention...
Brothers & Sisters, The Amazing Race, NASCAR Overrun and King of the Hill

American Dad

Losers...
The Unit and Funniest Home Videos

Round-Up...

A great Sunday for most shows with many winners but the night was not perfect for everyone. CBS won't have any problems with the ratings for "Amazing Race" yet but its clearly losing steam and will end much sooner than later. However the real problem for CBS is the 10pm slot, which saw SHARK cancelled last season due to demo and not viewers, which seems strange for a network which clearly prefers older viewers and things get no better with The Unit, which is now heading towards being canned after 4 years though the death warrant was signed when it loss NCIS as the lead in.

ABC proper primetime lineup started poorly with the hit n miss "Home Vidoes" but got better as the night went on and it seems DH has settled around 15 million, which is no small number in this day and age. ABC will have concerns for Brother & Sisters which is dipping week by week but still 9.7 million and a 3.4 demo is not shabby in the worst TV slot after Friday nights.

FOX had a wonderful night with The Simpsons scoring the biggest demo of the night though one would assume Football helped with that. King of the Hill proved it should get at least one more season and FOX's timing to cancel the show is quite bizzare since there new midseason animated shows could still flop though maybe they did an early call to help the writers wrap everything up. Family Guy may be slightly down in terms of writing but ratings remain fantastic but American Dad is clearly the weak link in the lineup but will stay for 5-7 seasons before FOX even think of ending it.

CW was pure repeats from what I know of so nothing to report like normal.

Aren't Sundays even bigger viewing nights than Mondays? I don't see how ten pm Sundays is such a bad slot, even though it isn't as good as seven, eight or nine. And although Fridays at ten has been notoriously tough for decades, hasn't Saturday been so weak for some years now that the networks don't even try to do original programming?

Well IMO with Work and School the next day, that a lot of people are in bed between 10-11pm on Sunday nights so that stops a show in that slot getting viewers.

Of course a really good show can get around that but with the way viewers are dropping TV this season with ratings down so much that 10pm Sunday shows no matter how good will find it hard and so far B&S and The Unit are both down more than up overall when you look at there ratings.

Looks like The Unit and Brothers & Sisters aren't doing each other any favours.

The Unit was on the bubble last season, even moreso this year if these numbers persist.

What time did the football wrap on NBC? Just wondering if that factored at all. Football, B&S and The Unit on at the same time, that would spread the numbers about a bit.

Well, yeah, there are some people who go to bed at ten on Sundays. But every weeknight except Friday is also a weeknight. The thing is, that people are home on Sunday nights. Supposedly Friday nights and Saturday nights are when everybody is out barhopping. (Except of course they aren't---but we are talking about the demo, aren't we?) I guess the question is, to be more precise, what shows Sunday at ten to be weaker than Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at ten? \

For that matter, people like to pick on Numb3rs for some reason, but it's always gotten decent ratings. At least, by the lowered standards of later years. Is it really true that Friday and Saturday nights are hopeless?

The 10pm slot of any day is the hard one I just think Sunday is harder at 10pm than theo ther 10pm slots which follow behind close and I think its even worse than friday at 10pm cause at least some people come home at 10pm from going out on Friday Night.

At the end of a day a really good show can survive but you have to be really good those viewers are harder to find these days.
