NBC has cancelled Undercovers

NBC has ordered 2 more episodes of the low rated comedy "Community" to bring the order upto 24 this season.

CBS may be following one of my ideas and putting "The Defenders" on friday nights to replace soon to end "Medium" come midseason. However CBS will still most likely cancel the show after its debut season, which begs the question why not axe it now ?

I also hear that CBS are considering the future's of CSI NY and The Good Wife despite their solid ratings.

Hellcats under 2 M...hopefully it will pick back up next week.

Great. Both LUX and The Defenders more or less axed the same week. What will I watch in the spring?

The Defenders hasn't been axed just yet. Granted it may not get renewed, and maybe Jax is right that they'll move it, but it's not done yet. Enjoy it while you can.

No thread tommorow because I am going to be away with some friends until late afternoon Saturday most likely. Someone else feel free but if not then the next thread will be the Thursday/Fri combo somepoint saturday evening my time (GMT).

Good news about Community, but if they already had a full-season pickup, and Outsourced just got one a couple weeks ago, where are they going to put Parks & Recreation when it comes back midseason? Has 30 Rock also received a full order?

Yep 22 episodes for 30 Rock so not got a clue about Parks. NBC really should cancel everything on that night except 30 Rock and The Office. 30 Rock should anchor the night it can get over 6 million with a demo in the late 2's or early 3's, while Community & Parks can barely stay above 5 million with a low 2 demo.

Great news for The Middle, I'm glad to see it doing so well.

NBC shouldn't keep any show, everything should be canceled, 30 Rock, The Office, all of it. They are a shit network and can't do that. The best comedy of the night is by far Community that no one watches.

However ABC did it correctly, They have The Middle which leads into 8:30 and then Modern Family that leads. NBC has their tent shows on next to each other, 30 Rock should be on at 8, so it can lead into another show.

I respect Community for taking creative risks and going so far outside the bounds of normal TV comedy. My problem with it is that it often requires the characters to be written arbitrarily out of character to serve the plot. Sometimes it works great (eg, the KFC episode), but episodes like this week's just aren't funny. And Ken Jeong still almost ruins the whole show for me. Overall, it's generally entertaining, but I'd still rather watch The Office, 30 Rock, or P+R.

Sorry not posted Thursday/Friday ratings, I was away longer than I expected and only been back home an hour. Will post them later. ;)
