Meh, considering pretty much all the shows seem to have bad nights, (including all three series on ABC) I don't think they'd use this week as a reliable gauge of season ratings.

More rumours have come out, from what seems to be good sources that DSM and PD are dead and officially so, but this is just an official rumour. ;)

Ah well...if ABC does cancel PD, they'll have one less person watching their network as it's the only show I've ever watched they've had on the last few years. I imagine one viewer loss won't make a huge difference, but even so...

theCW/MRC is dead

"Jericho" fans, rejoice.

The CW has dumped its Sunday night programming by Media Rights Capital and will replace it with various repeats including the cancelled CBS fan favourite "Jericho," reports Broadcasting & Cable.

Beginning Nov. 30, "Valentine," "Easy Money," "4 Real" and "In Harm's Way," will get dropped from Sundays so that the network can air "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" in the 5 o'clock hour, repeats of "The Drew Carey Show" at 6 p.m., reruns of "Jericho" at 7 p.m. and a movie purchased from MGM as the anchor for the night.

It was previously announced that this season's scripted Sunday shows -- "Valentine," about a family of Greek gods matchmaking in Los Angeles, and "Easy Money," about a family of loan sharks -- were planning to halt production.

The new schedule is expected to last through the end of the season while The CW regroups.

Network Chief Operating Officer John Maatta notified CW affiliates of the change in a letter Thursday.

Round-up...

Well what a Wednesday, simply awful with many Series Lows and it proves that the TV landscape for networks (cable ratings are up) are down all across the board...

CBS won the night but despite real improvements for the 8-9 hour, it falls behind what CBS consider there norm levels and since this is the only night they struggle on they would have no problem changing things. However saying this I think Gary Unmarried being in the 1st season and always higher than Old Christine, theres clear potential there so I would think maybe a bigger comedy from monday like Rules of Engagment come midseason could really kick this night off better. CSI NY also boucned back from last week's series low with a big gain for the 100th episode.

Bones scored its highest viewers total to date though I was surprise the demo wasn't higher but no real bad, Bones is becoming a bigger hit year by year and FOX need to take advantage next fall of the 9pm follow on slot.

NBC had a torrid night and the re tool launch cannot come quick enough for KR, which is at least 1.5 million and 0.7 in the demo, short of being in any safe zone. Life is just as bad and will join KR at the end of the season in the bin unless things improve big time. Law and Order is a big time loser because after 19 seasons those ratings are just plain bad

PD and Dirt Sexy Money are cancelled with a leak document of ABC midseason lineup shows neither show on that list and I can imagine the offical call is only days away. Private Practice gets more chance when it joins parent show Greys in midseason and I expect a boost there to secure a 3rd season.

CW enjoyed a great start with Top Model but they really need to take better care to find a follow up and 90120 fits perfectly as both shows have a big female demo.

I think Pushing Daisies might've worked better as a 30 minute show. It's too sacchrine for an hour. Like eating cake for dinner.

The hour long format is ok but they needed a stronger what's-at-stake element earlier in the season to keep people interested. They have it now with the old army buddy plot but it's too little too late.

I'm really glad Bones is doing so well. Sucks about everything else that I watch (Life, PD, KR).

I think the CW should pick up Pushing Daisies.

Way too expensive for CW to put on the air. Although being produced by Warner Brothers (have of the CW) is a positive. Problem is where do you put it and what do you pair it with? Reaper at midseason? Smallville come January 15? CW just doesn't have a compatible light fantasy-ish show...

PD/Reaper would make a great partnership.

But that falls into the same problem ABC had with PD. Putting shows without huge fanbases together in the hopes people will find them. Does Repear have enough of a fanbase to sustain it AND provide a good lead in to PD? I don't know.
