Round-up...

Starting with FOX and there may be some hope for other shows as Idol has had its first major drop during this season and unlike other shows the writers strike cannot be used as a reason. However despite being down by several million from this time last year, the show is till the top dog in TV land.

Rumors say that Til Death and Back to You will be brought back next fall but IMO, Til Death has not done enough in the first two seasons to warrant a 3rd season but Back To You is worthy of the renewal but may struggle next season. I don't understand why FOX won't air the shows after Idol because there losing out on viewers which just seems dumb as both shows would easily double there viewership if they lead out of IDOL. If FOX keeps the show before Idol then at least put Back To You on at 8pm before Til Death.

The Price is Right may be cheap as chips to produce but those ratings still warrants the loser list for a CBS show and TBH the only good time to air the show is daytime, friday nights or during summer time. Criminal Minds and CSI NY were at normal levels and will be around for many years to come.

NBC is on the verge on losing the decent viewership that DOND brings and must give the show an extended break and not bring it back early during the fall. Despite coming back next year, fans of L&O should hope those ratings are just a blip due to the writer ruined season and poor lead in but IMO while L&O will make it to the 20th season landmark in 2009 fall...the show will end up like ER and will go out on a whimpy.

Wife Swap was at a decent level overall for a summer show airing in early May but still they had a poor night with Supernanny losing any good work Wife Swap did at 8pm. Also I don't know why ABC keep putting on these Barbara Walters specials because they never bring in any audience and one would think, she would cater to the older TV audience but then why put it on a 10pm then ???

Next Top Model continues to do good work for The CW but anyone who watches "Farmer Wants a Wife"...needs to have there TV taken off them and given a book on how NOT to be a redneck (though shooting them will be adequate too). Seriously people who watch shows like that are too blame for networks putting out so much reality TV.

^ Law & Order's actually the only show of any interest to me. I've not watched a good CBS show since JAG went off the air.

There's a simple reason Babs will always have a special whenever she wants it: money. I don't know the particulars about her book deal, but my bet is one of the Disney subsidiaries published it, prompting ABC to run the hour special.

And let's face it: it did the best numbers of the night for the network AND cost next to nothing to produce.

I honestly don't understand why The CW doesn't put Gossip Girl on after ANTM. It seems a pretty damn good fit to me and a natural lead-in for a show The CW really wants to succeed.

Because that requires actual brain power.

^ Contagious Watching!

At least that's what CW 50 in Detroit is calling itself. I'm not sure if it's a network wide thing or just our affiliate.

Back to You has been canceled. Stupid Fox.

A shock move it say the least...BACK TO YOU has easily had better ratings all season than Til Death and being only 13 episodes into the show, had a much better chance of bringing in new viewers.

Renewing Til Death over this show is a huge mistake by FOX. If they would air both show after Idol then they would easily double there audience. Another classic reason on why TV execs are crap at there jobs.

They should air AI, then Back to You then Til Death. Til Death has only slightly lower ratings than Back to You and B2U has more expensive cast.

That would be the smart thing to do...Hey shouldn't I get a b/day cake next to my name or does this new forum not have that feature ???

Why do I get the feeling every May when things are canceled that ANYONE but the people in charge can run the networks better? Honestly they make millions and for what? Making bone head choices.
