No Ordinary Family is almost certain to be cancelled. It started out with such promise, too... but they're already rehashing plots and they've used the obligatory "my powers are suddenly going away" card.

I'm actually really enjoying Ordinary Family now. It started off very so-so but the characters are fun.

Not that it's a big deal, but The Biggest Loser's finale is actually next week.

Please remind me to slap my source for that one

I look at The Good Wife this season (I know latest a repeat) and I just get the feeling CBS have an itchy trigger finger for that show. Typically CBS cancels 4 hours of shows per season and we know Medium is DEAD and The Defenders is close behind but that leaves 2 hours...RoE, My Dad Says, CSI NY, CSI Miami, TGW and Blue Bloods are all on the bubble from what I hear.

Oh and depending on how many repeats there are next week this might be my final week of threads for 2010.

Fox wont cancel Firefly twice!

Fox canceled Lie to Me (no more episodes ordered type of deal), so Human Target should be next and then Fringe. I'm already planning on spamming Fox.

Got to admit a small glimmer of hope in me, I know I shouldn't but its there. Lie to me is DEAD, Human Target will follow soon and FOX do seem to want a scripted show on friday nights from what I keep hearing...

Fringe gained a few hundred thousand viewers in the past episode but the demo remained the same so most likely 50+ were the reason for that and since they watch friday nights that could help Fringe around 4.5 million levels. The problem is the demo needs to be 1.5 or higher for any chance of FOX keeping it because they are desperate to get any sort of a foothold on friday nights.

8pm would be better because of CSI NY at 9pm but if Fringe can get levels like I spoke of it may just squeeze it self a short 4th and final season of 13 episodes.

You didn't think there would have been a third season of the show, so maybe you should take that all back and say it will be canceled to keep it going. :-p

I didn't watch the show back then...I must apologize to all FRINGE fans because the show was doomed soon as I became a fan of it this summer

To be fair I think what will get it canceled is the fact it's good now.

Seasons 1 and 2 were rather iffy, they had their moments, but still very iffy. The end of season 2 onward it was really good, and Fox can't stand good sci-fi on their network!

So that dinosaur show will surely last many years!

If I was a FOX exec, I would of laughed at the premise of Terra Nova and sent them packing to ABC or NBC. It will flop after a good start.

CBS will get rid of The Defenders and ROE.

Human Target - I think would be the first show in a post-Idol slot to ever be cancelled wouldn't it?

No I doubt that. There have been numerous shows on after Idol, and Fox only really has three shows that have lasted, House, Bones and Glee. So I'm sure there are many many shows we can't remember.

I think they saw Spielburg's name, came in their pants and then threw millions of dollars at it go...

"Steven Spielburg + Avatar = Instant money!!!!"

I can't see it getting more than 13 episodes, let alone past a first season. They might give it a full season just because they will promote it so much, but I think it will will be a huge bomb of epic proportions. I'm still hoping after it bombs it gets stuck on Friday Nights with Fringe. :)

Had a quick look.

Post Idol shows:

2002 - 24 & The Bernie Mac Show
2003 - 24 & The OC
2004 - House & Life on a Stick
2005 - House & Unan1mous
2006 - House & 'Til Death
2007 - Hell's Kitchen & The Moment of Truth
2008 - Fringe & Lie to Me
2009 - Glee

Some of those shows were ultimately cancelled, but none were ended whilst they aired in the post-Idol slot, which suggests that Human Target may be safe for at least one more year, just by that virtue alone.

Well I certainly wouldn't have wasted a post-Idol slot on it.

To be honest, they appear to be wasting both of them as Bones doesn't really need the other one either.

Bones needs it because it's ratings will be dropping hard on Thursdays at 9.

Fox really just has too many shows and not enough space to fit them.

Human Target is only on after AI for a few weeks I think. So it's not that big of a waste. However I would have stuck on a new show on after American Idol in Wednesdays and then moved Human Target to Fridays before Fringe, have a sci-fi Friday that will fail.
