More to come later...

Detroit 1-8-7 (series debut) - 9.75 million viewers & 2.5/7
It got that after DWTS? That doesn't bode well for Detroit at all especially if ratings for it start to sink..

Ouch for Running Wilde. I think if it had aired at 9, and Raising hope at 9:30, both would have gotten better ratings, as RW was far more entertaining.

Winners...
NCIS, NCIS LA, Glee and DWTS

Decent...
The Biggest Loser, Raising Hope and Detroit 1-8-7

Losers...
Running Wilde, Parenthood, Parenthood and Life Unexpected

ROUND-UP
The hits from last week return with zero trouble and expect the likes of NCIS, NCIS LA and Glee to remain strong throughout the year. However it was a very bad night for the debut shows and like last night we have another DOA...

Running Wilde is that DOA because we all know the only way is down after a pilot for the majorty of shows and its already in the danger zone after one episode. Raising Hope did not raise much of anything but if the drop keeps it above 7 million then FOX will allow it try and build an audience over the entire season. Lets face it though when was the last time FOX produced a successful 30 min comedy ? and is the 9-10 slot the best time for such a show.

Detroit 1-8-7 like Castle is not exactly the right audience match up for DWTS but if it can stay over 9 million their is always a chance because ABC struggle to produce successful 10pm shows in recent years.

The Biggest Loser has been overused so much by NBC but still produces decent numbers but its more than clear that the erosion will only get worse, NBC needs to produce new hits and fast. Parenthood is not that hit and will probably be cancelled after its 2nd season.

One Tree Hill continues to evaporate and Life Unexpected will never catch on. The way CW started this season minus TVD and Nikita who arrived on the scene last week, I don't have a clue how the network can remain on the airways.

Also the way FOX started this season, I see early signs of what happened to NBC several years ago the question is can FOX minus Idol replace its older shows with succesful shows...so far thats a NO due to 3 debut shows and 2 failures already.

Well, I didn't like Running Wilde or Detroit 1-8-7. I don't think a lot of people on the interwebs did either. Tuesday is going to be dominated by DWTS, NCIS, and Glee all year.

Ouch for Running Wilde. I think if it had aired at 9, and Raising hope at 9:30, both would have gotten better ratings, as RW was far more entertaining.

I agree, and I was thinknig about that even before the season premiered. Fox is just kind of stupid.

Running Wilde was decent, nothing amazing, but it was different than every other sitcom on TV.

Rising Hope just was kind of stupid beyond stupid, I almost changed the channel, and I'm sure a lot of people did before RW started.

Well, talk about nothing on on Tuesdays... On the plus side, it's a perfect spot for me to clear out the DVR backlog from Monday nights.

The whole night's schedule, not a single show I'm interested in. For someone that watches that much TV, it's really impressive...

I hope that the ratings for Detroit stay that way or go up. I finally saw the premiere this morning and liked it a lot. It's no Homicide or NYPD Blue yet though.

^ I watch quite a bit of TV and the only Tuesday shows I watch are Life Unexpected and NCIS.

It's just that impressive for me, because i watch a TON of tv shows, and there's absolutely nothing i watch on tuesday. Don't think that's ever happened, there's always at least something on. Last year wasn't much, but at least 90210 was there keeping it from being zero, and then Lost in the spring. Right now, nothing at all on tuesday. And Monday/Thursday are so overloaded that my 2-tuner DVR still won't let me watch all of the shows i watched last year, much less try many new things.

TV execs putting everything on at once are stupid. Then shocked that they don't get any decent ratings, but it was one of like 6 quality shows on in that 30 minute block, some of which were 1-hour shows that overlapped your 30 minute one.

Why such overload one night, with no challengers at all on others?

^So true, except my busy nights are Wednesdays and Thursdays. It makes me grateful that I can record 4 shows at once on the DVR, especially when there are some CBS shows that you can't find online.
