The delay is VOLUNTARY. If stations want to switch off early, then they may do so.

Cable ratings normally take longer to be released thats why I normally only do network. I have though about in the future at the end of every week posting the top 10 or 20 cable ratings in my Thur/Fri threads plus ratings of a few shows worth of note.

Yeah. From what I've heard many NewsCorp affiliated networks (Fox, MyNetworkTV) have already switched. The local CW affiliate for me has also switched, but they're owned by the same group that owns the Fox one.
