CBS has picked up Rules of Engagement it seems for a 6th and final season as I expected. However no word on number of episodes though it probably won't be 22 and it will robably air in midseason as the pickup only really to boost sydnication numbers.

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

"The Vampire Diaries matched last week’s 1.3 adults 18-49 rating..."

Last week really felt like the finale and last night was like an added bonus...I am surprised it didn't break 3 Million viewers though. :(

Can't wait for SMALLVILLE tonight! :)

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

Just watched Bones and dam a fine episode to wrap up the shows arc for the season but next week is the season finale and Bones is HIT/MISS with season finales, I hope it can follow such a strong episode like last night.

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

does anyone know if there will be a smallville spin off?
all so is outsourced picked up for a second season?

Outsourced is cancelled and there are no plans for any Smallville spinoff.

In other news despite low ratings, HBO has picked up Treme for a 3rd season. It seems repeat ratings and critical buzz was enough for HBO to give it a 3rd season. I bet it will get moved to a new slot in the year but probably remain on sundays.

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

I posted this in the Smallville thread...

@MattMitovich
CORRECTION! #Smallville finale draws 2.97 million viewers, 1.3 demo rating (across 2 hours).

3.35 million people were watching the final half-hour of #Smallville finale

:sigh:

Ok, Officially...
The two hour Smallville series finale rose 63% from last week’s one hour episode, and its 1.3 adults 18-49 rating tied a season high. Our polled readers turned out to be overly optimistic.
8:00 CW Smallville 1.2 5 2.813
8:30 CW Smallville 1.2 4 2.799
9:00 CW Smallville 1.3 4 2.928
9:30 CW Smallville 1.5 5 3.347

Quite a jump in that last half hour.

I really thought it would break 4 Million for the night...wishful thinking. :sigh:

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

You would of hoped for more and the DVR numbers might be interesting since it was friday night. CW shows apart from TVD don't break 2 million so for a Friday night CW show to get almost 3 million (might get there in finals) thats impressive.

I still would of liked to see CW air the finale not on friday night, maybe tuesday so it would of been away from Idol too.

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

^
I thought it would have pulled more...but if they had swapped Smallville for ANTM and aired the finale on Wed...I do think the numbers would have been better...but oh well.

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

Smallville's ratings are what I thought they'd be...I predicated we would MAYBE get a spike of 4 million but nope lol. Disappointed to see that "Community" didn't have more viewers, they had an epic season finale.

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

is blue bloods getting renewed for a second season?

Hope so. Nice to see them wrap up the "Blue Templar" story and NOT go where I thought they were going when the series premiered (that Danny was involved.)

Looks like this one is going down to the wire and we may not find out until the network upfronts this week.

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

cool let us know I like this show. I am surprised chicago code did'nt make it. it would have been better oin fx than fox.

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 12th/13th May) Smallville Fly's away

The Chicago Code was steady until the end and then flatlined killing any chance really, a pity cause until then I could of seen it on Friday night fall 8pm. No doubt though the show was never on the right network, far too older skewing for FOX taste's and needed a cable home.

Hmm, perhaps that's WHY they wrapped up the BT storyline. If they are getting cancelled, kudos to the producers for NOT ending on a cliffhanger.
