Why the hell are people still watching Charlie's Angels? Don't they realize that it has already been canned?

While safe, The CW must be dissapointed with "The Secret Circle" numbers especially compared to "The Vampire Diaries".

I am not sure of the numbers but just going on my loose observation...isn't TSC doing better than Nikita did in that spot? TSC is an 8PM show in a 9PM slot...this really is my issue with it getting paired up with TVD.

[edit] Given the state of The CW...they can't be too mad at TSC. :)

it looks like the secret circle jumped in the viewer area a lot.

it's a great show.

That's a new season high for The Vampire Diaries in both total viewers and the demo. The Secret Circle is doing better in the demo than Nikita fared in that time slot last season, although not by all that much - typically about one tenth of a ratings point. The CW was no doubt hoping for better retention with The Secret Circle, but it's still got a very good chance of renewal.

It was almost exactly even from the previous episode. The demo rating was the same while total viewers dropped very slightly from 2.31 million to 2.26 million.

From what I read at TVByTheNumbers earlier TVD & TSC were both steady.

CW's The Vampire Diaries was steady, but matched a season high with a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating. The Secret Circle was steady with a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.

Now TVD seemed to match a season high...

The Vampire Diaries (to a season high) and Grey's Anatomy were all adjusted up a tenth of a ratings point with adults 18-49 vs. the Thursday preliminary ratings.

Person of intrest was great this week I am glad it got picked up for a full seasonl.

An interesting note I came across about the demo audience for "Persons of Interest", while the 18-49 demo is average apparantly the show does very well in the 25-54 demo. CBS always skews older so I wonder if they pay attention to that demo in a way the CW love the 18-34.

Anyone know?

Friday numbers are in...

CBS

A Gifted Man - 8.39 million & 1.2/4

CSI: NY - 9.65 million & 1.6/5

Blue Bloods - 12.56 million & 2.1/5

ABC

Extreme Makover: Home Edition - 4.86 million & 1.2/4

Extreme Makover: Home Edition - 5.41 million & 1.4/4

20/20 - 4.87 million & 1.1/3

NBC

Chuck - 3.08 million & 0.8/3

Grimm - 5.92 million & 1.8/5

Dateline - 4.14 million & 1.2/4

FOX

Kitchen Nightmares - 3.70 million & 1.5/5

Fringe - 3.28 million & 1.3/4

CW

Nikita - 1.80 million & 0.6/2

Supernatural - 1.72 million & 0.7/2

Not a bad second ep drop for Grimm, considering it's NBC and Friday. The bigger question is whether the series merits even those ratings.

They probably don't. I don't think most people follow the ins and outs of the TV biz. They just watch stuff until one day it mysteriously vanishes. Then they watch something else.

I haven't heard that ad agencies have changed their minds about the 18-49 demo being the only one that counts. If CBS is issuing press releases about how proud they are of the show's 25-54 demo figures, it's just PR spin.
