Nice numbers for Supernatural. Certainly hope that the fifth year isn't the last. With those numbers surely the CW will be wanting it to stay around as long as possible.

On the surface decent numbers for Private Practice, but that's nearly a 50% dropoff from Grey's.

Those look like way above-average numbers for the NBC sitcoms as I recall, that's good. Particularly for Earl which I understand is on the bubble. I thought Bones was a big hit now but it only gets 10 million?

Bones has always gotten solid numbers and has increased every season despite being played in several timeslots, the show never drops its fanbase. 10 million and a 3.0 demo may not be a mega hit buts its a hit and would be a total success on any network bar CBS but then again just being on CBS would probably bring it a few million more viewers.

I hope not. I can't see either lead signing up for 9 seasons, and the show won't work without both. Its arc is too well planned out. There'll be literally nowhere to go. No Lana to return for special episodes. Thank God. :p

Yeah, I really hope they're allowed to end Supernatural after year five like they want to do. They can move on to the Wild West prequel after that. :D

Yes, but Kripke and the two J's are only contractually bound for five years with an option for a sixth. I just can't see the show not going to complete shit if the CW was stupid enough (and yes, it is stupid enough) to try to make the show without Jensen, Jared, and Kripke. Bring in Coy and Vance, the Winchesters' long lost cousins to take over? :guffaw: Dawn Ostroff, producer?

Never put anything past CW.

^ I could also see them recasting and saying a shape shifter did it or magic.

Sure they could do that, but they caught lightning in a bottle with the Ackles/Padalecki chemistry. Duplicating that with two new actors is highly unlikely. The hunters in the old west prequel idea is wonderful, but the CW suits wouldn't think it was teen girly enough.

Here's an idea for the prequel (if they insist on keeping the two current leads).

Do the spinoff, but have Padalecki and Ackles just play their ancestors.
