Round-up...

Fox once again won the night with American Idol and its lead out show though it was nice to see it come up against some decent competition and lose some viewers to them.

CBS is starting to re-build its season now that the strike is over and thanks to no Big Brother on, the network enjoyed a solid 2nd place.

NBC had a little stronger than typical Thursday Night but still My Name is Earl and 30 Rock are struggling and while they are returning next season, I can't see much of a life after 2008/2009. Scrubs returned and is weird loser because despite a unimpressive total viewer count, the show scores a very good demo and I can understand why ABC have ordered an 8th season. Meanwhile ER should thank the writers for the strike because thats the only reason the show has gotten 1 more final season for 2008/2009.

ABC only original show Eli Stone is all but dead though it has one last chance when it airs after the returning Desperate Housewives on sunday.

CW - repeats = even less caring.

I have yet to understand how ER is still on the air, let alone why NBC has renewed it for yet another season.

^ ER before the strike brought in 9 million a lot of the times and NBC was always going to hang on to it with real desperation however the show would of ended if not for the strike. NBC though will struggle to find a replacement as 10pm shows are real bastards to replace and establish a new show.
