Ha! Who in their right mind schedules a series premiere counter to a presidential debate? I guess they were banking on that % in the polls that never gives a shit; but it turns out they didn't give a shit about this show either.
Hmm? CBS ran repeats on Tuesday.

The Voice and Revolution is saving their asses this year.
Desperation has pushed NBC to be creative and finally they blundered across something that paid off for them. Conversely, complacency is biting CBS and FOX in the ass.
Next season, I hope to see more interesting development from FOX at least. CBS is more like one of those pea-brained huge dinosaurs, where something could bite its tail and it takes a week for the signal to travel to its brain.

NBC Mondays can not save NBC overall, they still have a very VERY long way to go, but at least are trying out things they wouldn't have in the past.
ABC is trying to figure itself out after the fall of Dancing with the Made Up Stars, but at least have a sound Sunday and Wednesday Night comedies. They can save themselves with another hit or two like Revenege turned out to be.
I don't care about CBS.
The one that worries me is Fox. They canceled America's Most Wanted, their cartoon comedies are aging, Bones is aging, and they have no replacements for it. The one they wanted to replace House was Mod Doctor and that was just too stupid, try something new! X Factor is rather dead, all of their comedies underperform, Glee is going to die a slow death, but I can't see too many more seasons left in it. They have nothing. they really need to start acting like Fox again and not a normal network, that's how they got known. The Last Resort would have been perfect after Bones. not completely the same demo, but there is no other male drama on at 9pm Mondays. They need to take risks again.

Ack...those numbers are horrible for Nikita. It was lucky to get a third season...it'll be luckier if it makes it through this season at all.
Next year, here's what I think will happen:
NBC - will learn the lesson that they need to go after the male/action/adventure/genre audience that FOX has abandoned.
CW - will learn the lesson to do the same, but with a younger skew, while not forgetting the female audience. They should aim for shows with crossover appeal. Their Hunger Games ripoff idea was the right approach. Or, a vampire show but more nasty an gruesome and less sparkly.
FOX - will larn the lesson that they took their eye off the ball, and need to act quickly to stop NBC and CW's encroachments.
ABC - they're now in NBC's position of not knowing what works. They seemed to have the right idea with catty, bitchy, soapy shows aimed at a female audience but even those aren't doing so well. But 666 Park Ave is showing minor signs of life. They should keep an eye on that one, because if word of mouth is saving it, then that may be a sign that their marketing, not programming, is at fault. The old marketing strategies aren't cutting it anymore.
CBS - the warning signs are kicking in, but they might not heed them this early. Maybe by 2014-15?
