another network would cancel all 3 NBC shows, but I hope they dont I love Medium & still kinda like Heroes

Heroes is secured for a 4th season but it will be the last and at this rate only 18 episodes...I don't care what people say about the show there are far worser shows drawing in larger audiences

I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth but what about the Sunday ratings? Is there a website I can go to? The only one I know is Futon Critic which only gives the shares and the not the actual viewing numbers and apparently deletes it the next day or something... Thanks! :)

I tend not to do them anymore cause the thread dies off quick so I assumed no one really cared about sunday ratings plus sometimes there a real pain to do because of overrun from football among other things...I will do one for next sunday.

CBS fixed I forgot about that TV giant

Ah but Sunday is Fox's Animation Domination ;)

Not anymore...

The Simpsons - 5.99 million & 2.8/8

King of the Hill - 4.92 million & 2.4/6

Family Guy - 7.17 million & 3.7/9

American Dad - 5.32 million & 2.7/6

The amount of repeats in the season ruins the flow of there lineup so much, IMO they would be better of filming loads in advance and keeping all there animated shows till Mid-season.

The only reason HEROES is coming back is...

Demo (though its slowly becoming an average demo)

International ratings (massive still around the world)

NBC is doing shit anyway

Big budget cut in season 4

Bryan Fuller could put things back on track.

However make no mistake unless there is a huge miracle Heroes will be cancelled in season 4 after possibly only 77 episodes, 79 max.

I'm surprised Castle did so well, I thought it would tank.

It will...

* DWTS ran over 2 mins into Castle numbers I think

* 2nd half of the show went down to low 9 million.

the DTWS lead in was wasted and it will most likely erode as the weeks go on.

On its own Castle numbers don't look bad. But networks expect a certain % to follow one show to go to the next. Castle did poorly in this regards.

Isn't Heroes still consistent in terms of demographics?

That's a good demo # in relation to the viewership #.

What we don't know is the 18-34 chunk of that number. Heroes might still skew young - the harder part of 18-49 to capture, so that could count for more.

At those numbers, it must be rakin' in the bucks internationally for its renewal to be such a casual foregone conclusion as the NBC honcho made it sound.

Also I wonder if Nissan is still doing in show promotions. Sometimes I don't even notice that stuff, but if it's a big factor, then the big DVD boost Heroes gets actually would count for something.

Which is why it's worth noting Heroes huge DVD viewing share.

Interesting that the Renew/Cancel guy is now noting what % of DVR viewing happens the same day. Heroes is high in that department (Chuck is very high) so I hope that bodes well for both - ads are less likely to be "expired" if seen the same day (if seen at all).
