The 82nd Annual Academy Awards averaging a mammoth (and approximate) 39.24 million viewers and a 12.5/30

Earlier in the evening on ABC was the final Oscar themed Barbara Walters Special (20.97 million & 5.4/16) followed by the half-hour Oscar Red Carpet Special at a very dominant 31.60 million viewers and an 8.9/23 in the demo at 8 p.m. Keep in mind these results could partially include The Academy Awards in the Central Time Zone
