Winners...
The entire CBS lineup, House and The Bachelor

Worth A Mention...
Castle and Harry's Law

DOA...
The Chicago Code

Losers...
The Cape, Chuck, Gossip Girl and 90120,

First of all Glee not being able to get over 30 million viewers out of 111 million was a little weak but what do you expect with a show that does NOT fit the NFL demographic at all.

House above average performance was matched by the best episode of the 7th season but expect the show to drop to around 10 million next week. The Chicago Code is DOA already and it may seem harsh but it will drop in the coming weeks and the the demo has nowhere to go already...FOX does not want such low demo numbers on monday nights.

Infact the 18-49 demos here and its general decline in recent years means advertises need to take more notice in the 50+ viewers. Am not surprised the 18-49 demo didn'r want to watch another cop show  but it wasn't long ago 15 million viewers for Two and Half Men would of broken 5.0 and not get a 4.4, which can be almost matched by TBBT, which scores about 2-3 million less viewers. Harry Law also is a clear sign of the state of TV in that demographic.

Updates for my Axe List...

The Chicago Code goes right into the Likely to be cancelled section.

Also I am one week away from putting Chuck in the same category if it stays at 1.7 demo. No matter NBC's worries unless thats friday night they will not want a 5th season IMO and it seems the 4th season finale has been written to serve a series wrap up from the writers.

I enjoyed The Chicago Code and I think it might have a chance just because Fringe, Human Target and Lie to Me all suck badly, ratings wise. Why they didn't start the show after Idol last week I will never understand. Oh yeah... this is Fox.

And Chuck always writes a series finale. As the writers said, they write a series finale twice a year.

Harry's Law.... :( At least it didn't drop like a rock like The Event and The Cape and every other NBC show has. However last night's episode was the worst yet, felt like a different show, not funny enough. As Denny Crane said, rape isn't fun, I can already see everyone picking up their remotes.

And Fox doesn't care what Glee's numbers are, they just want to increase the average viewership per episode so they can charge more next year for commercials.

It is really a shame about The Cape...the eps keep getting better...as mentioned in The Cape thread in SF/F this show needs to be on a different network like SyFy.

The Chicago Code should have aired after Glee... It probably could have done a lot better than Glee. However, go look at the demographics across the board for SB viewing. A large portion of every age group, male and female watched.

I think you mean after the Super Bore... ;)

Fox doesn't like running new shows after the game because if they fail then they really don't matter what the ratings are. For Fox the spot off of the Super Bowl is just a money grab. They did the same thing a few years ago during the writers strike. They showed an episode of House instead of showing The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which would have been perfect for after the game.

I have to admit I am surprised that Chicago Code didn't at least crack 3.0 with over 9 million viewers, when did FOX turn into CBS-Lite ;). Fox are having big trouble with the post House slot every since 24 left us and they forced Fringe away...

I still think the new J.J show might be the way to go with House night and infact move House to 9pm and let the easier 8pm slot to someone else. DWTS gets stronger over the night and CBS 8-9 are weaker than 9-10 plus NBC and CW are little threat so let a new show slot in there.

Hawaii Five O is below CSI Miami from one year ago and I wonder if Five-O would of suited going with NCIS instead of TGW. At the very least CSI Miami should go to NCSI night. I was just reading about CBS and CSI NY/Blue Bloods --- One is probably set to go especially if CBS moves TGW to fridays...personally I don't understand why CSI NY can't have one last short hurrah on sundays and leave BB & TGW to rule Fridays 9-11 but thats for another thread for another day.
