Round-Up...

Despite winning the night on viewers, ABC still has some worries for next season though DWTS is of course quite safe. Samantha Who? scores a good number but its down and will ABC he happy with the numbers from a show that follows DWTS. At a 10pm show those numbers would looks better much like how BL does after DWTS but at 9:30pm those numbers may give it a 2nd season but a long life is still a big question mark. The Bachelor will probably not return next season but won't be cancelled so IMO, Samantha Who might be better off in the 10pm slot once DWTS is on in 2009 but move it to 8:30pm and put a new show on at 8pm.

CBS have no worries in the demo on this night but still the viewers for 8-9pm are not good enough. TBBG is returning next season but will not see a 3rd season unless it gets better ratings and the only way to do that IMO, is to move the show to 8:30pm. HIMYM should return for some sort of a final season but my gut tells me that CBS could and will cancel the show. The only other CBS comedy not to be picked up yet is Old Christine but that will easily return, maybe at the expense of HIMYM.

Bones was virtually at its normal levels so no worry there and the show has been picked up for a 4th season to start on August 26th but expect this show to last into its 5th or 6th seasons. House was at a season low but its nothing more than a blip due to the strike ruined season and once both shows return to tuesdays, expect to see House regain 15 million+ minimum.

Also I would like to say that last night's episode of Bones was fantastic and the best of the entire season. I think the Emmy's should show a little loving to this under-rated show.

NBC needs to stop over-using Deal or No Deal or the show will run out of steam next season and expect to see Medium for several more years. However the troubles continue for CW with OTH suffering from the timeslot move but the show will probably last one more season. CW made a mistake canelling Girlfriends to give Gossip Girl the chance...The show will not catch on EVER.

So, let me get this straight. HIMYM beats out TBBT in the ratings and you say you think it will be cancelled and TBBT is safe? :wtf:

CBS has already renewed TBBG for a 2nd season and HIMYM has not been renewed. Rumors are coming out of that 1 CBS comedy show will be axed though I don't understand why CBS doesn't create a 2nd smaller comedy block for a different night.

At the moment all but 2 CBS comedies have been renewed with those 2 being HIMYM and Old Christine. Christine gets far better ratings than HIMYM but that could be down to the two differet timeslots.

Has Rules of Engagement now been renewed? Last I heard it hadn't, but that was some time ago.

Hey now, Gossip Girl's a big hit with lots of buzz. Didn't you know? CW says so at every opportunity. It scores so well in that super rough Monday at 8 timeslot.

What's up with House? Before the strike the ratings were really high, like 22 million, now it's 13 million. I know it changed nights and that the strike screwed everything up, but it still seems a little weird to me.

From what I have heard the cast has been told they will return and the writers have begin planning for a 3rd season.

Concering the other CBS Comedies, Old Christine which is expected to get a pick up for a 4th season has a backup plan...

Old Christine is in talks with switching networks to ABC in case the series is not renewed by CBS

So even if HIMYM doesn't get a CBS pickup and they choose Old Christine instead then maybe ABC would pick that up instead.

House is suffering post strike hangover like many of the other series. Also, timeslot change isn't helping. That happens. Sometimes a timeslot change kills the ratings.

It will be very intresting how long "Laurie" will want to play HOUSE but am guessing 6 or 7 seasons and am sure the ratings will hold till the end.

Well I am all for poking fun at Gossip Girls. But it certainly wasn't a mistake to axe Girlfriends. ITs ratings averaged roughly the same, lower in demos and as an aged show was getting more and more expensive. And with as many episodes it has in the can it wasn't going to improve any syndication deal that the company already had for it.

I mean seriously Gossip Girls does well with one demo (even this week's episode with just 2.1 million tied the 2nd best number in the overall 18-34 demo (not just the female) that our beloved Supernatural gets when its in the low 3 million.

I am very curious how Gossip Girls will do on DVD sales. I know many studios use itunes (and other sites that have episodes for purchase) as a gauge for how they will eventually do on DVD. And it just kills on itunes. Last week 2 episodes of Supernatural on the top 100 (the 2nd most of the CW shows) while Gossip Girl had 12 episodes. All most the full friggin season. It had more then Lost the two days I checked. I really wish we had an sales figure amount instead of just a ranking (or even how they do DVD sales. A percentage out of a 100 (still doesn't give a dollar value, but at least gives a better comparison to other shows out).

And those results overall make me fear for the full lineup this week. I can't take another shitting rating for our show (which at least with finals did rise to the 2nd highest in viewers for the scripted hours, but still poorer then 3 on adults.
