Re: TV Ratings (Monday 22nd March)

I don't have a clue why I put Feb  can a Mod change the main thread title please since it doesn't work for my edit since replies have been made in the thread.

The inability to head the thread title isn't based on replies to the thread... I think you only have like a minute or two before it's too late to change it.

But it's good to see that Nathan Fillion has finally finished ahead of David Caruso.

CSI franchise is beginning to shed viewers across the board with the two spinoffs suffering the most, are people finally tired of CSI ? or is it a strange blip.

Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, another C4 show/talent on ABC, after Supernanny & Wife Swap, along with the US version of Dragons Den (BBC) & Dancing With the Stars (BBC)

I also recall them spinning off Dancing with the Stars, with "Ice Dancing With the Stars"

What is next Masterchef? The Gadget Show? The One Show? Supersize vs Superskinny or Snog Marry Avoid (ok I think that is enough for now)

I see Fox has finally axed Til Death

Castle beating CSI Miami (I will admit Castle is the better show right now) has to be due to the ridiculously strong lead in.

CSI has much more competition than it used to (The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Fringe, Supernatural)... all of these shows have a decent viewership for the respective network now.

CSI: NY is now going head-to-head with Law & Order: SVU, which probably has the same viewership.

So yeah... overload probably. 10 years of the same franchise is a long time to stay on for must see TV.

I have NEVER seen Til Death on TV since the pilot... not even while changing channels. I can't believe it has 80 episodes.

Plus all three of those shows are pretty deep into their shelf life, anyway. CSI: NY is what, six years old almost? It's natural for viewership to drop off over time.

Unless you're NCIS, apparently.

I just started watching NCIS recently. I guess the show really distinguished itself when it went from crime of the week to international espionage.

Same, I thought it was cancelled years ago.

I had a similar surprise with Rules of Engagement - I'd never even heard of the show before last week, and was surprised to learn it's in its fourth season!

CBS is doing what I said 2 weeks ago and swapping CSI and The Mentalist around to see how that works. Smart move by CBS since The Mentalist can probably do much better in the 9pm slot with CSI doing standard numbers in the 10pm shift.
