Wow, Worst Week beat both TBT and HIMYM. Of course it wasn't up against DWTS but still, that's impressive.

Not sure if your being sarchy or not ...It loss to both shows in the demo, it came out of Two & Half Men and was far behind previous occupents of that slot Old Christine & soon to take it back Rules of Engagement so its not looking good for the show at all.

Winners & Losers list plus round up later.

Nice to see Heroes stabilize. What with the strong DVR bump and NBC's post-Nielsens strategy (whatever that may be, at least product placements seem to be working out), it's among NBC's safest shows.

Wish My Own Worst Enemy had premiered stronger, tho. Still, that's better retention than usual for the post-Heroes timeslot.

Just looking at the numbers, not the demo. Granted I don't understand all this rating stuff, but I still think it was impressive and CBS has been promoting at the highest rated new comedy. I don't see it going away just yet.

Is it just me, or did Chuck's numbers rebound a little this week?

Boston Legal was down though :(

Fell asleep earlier  but better late than never...

Winners...
DWTS, Samantha Who?, Two and a Half Men and CSI: Miami

Honorable Mention...
The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother and Heroes

Good Ratings But Not Good Enough...
Worst Week

Decent...
Boston Legal, My Own Worst Enemy, Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill

Losers...
Chuck and MLB

Round-Up...

Lets start with Heroes, which was up from last week by over 400,000 viewers and 0.3 in the demo so at least the erosion has stopped for now and with the how good the last two episodes have been, hopefully we will get back into the 9 million range soon and settle there. I do wonder if the 8pm slot might bring in some of the DVR viewers but I think that would only work on a Tuesday or Wednesday but probably better to keep it where it is.

NBC problems are still big despite Chuck gaining 120,000 viewers and 0.1 demo increase because I don't see Chuck getting much higher and while NBC cannot cull all its shows, I fear for the fans of this show that Chuck will be axed on these numbers. My Own Worst Enemy was ok at best but I since the only way is down after a pilot for 95% of shows, next week numbers will look quiteb am am sure.

ABC had a good night with the typically strong DWTS and Samantha Who returned for its 2nd season and even though it was down from one year ago, it was a good number. Boston Legal fell sadly with no DWTS direct lead out but the quality is still strong and dam last night's episode was great. BL have loss audience every year though the biggest erosions were ABC's fault with the day move after season 1 and then last season with the day move for the last 6 or 7 episodes, in which both saw huge drops in ratings. Season 1 got 12.5 million viewers before 2,3 were around 10 million and 4 was middle 9 range.

CBS must be happy with TBBT, which I was concerned about after the numbers of the season finale but luckily I think the strike actually saved its skin with CBS giving it a 2nd season order earlier and now its about 2 million and half a demo point better off. HIMYM has been on the bubble for the last 2 years according to many people but not anymore and I cannot see any reason why it won't get picked up again with the current numbers.

Worst Week however is in trouble despite what might look like decent ratings due to CBS will not be happy that Former occupant Old Christine and Midseason occupant Rules of Engagment worked much better with Two & Half Men plus Worst week has the lowest demo score of the night. I would consider moving Old Christine back or putting Worst Week at 9pm instead and assuming it holds those numbers which I doubt it would look better.

FOX continues its year ago drop in ratings and CW enjoys a increase for Monday nights and must be happy that along with Thursday it now has found another solid partnership. CW if you want a 3rd night like this then I suggest moving 90120 with Next Top Model with 90120 leading out of Top Model.

I've started to notice the product placements in the show - Apple, Playstation, Madden Football on the most recent episode. And the BuyMore setting makes it all feel very natural. I think ratings will matter less for a show like Chuck than it does for shows where product placements are more obtrusive and can't be used as heavily.

I don't think product placement will be enough for the show if can barely pull in 6 million but because its a young show which means cheaper to produce and less salary for cast it could stand a chance if it can climb and stay at 6.5 million but even that will depend on how bad the other NBC shows are doing since they cannot axe them all.

Another bad thing for CHUCK is if NBC think its harming Heroes in any way due to a bad lead in they will yank it in a heartbeat.

^^ Or move it.

Personally, I'd say that Life is in more danger than Chuck, and gut feeling is, that with the product placement and DVR, it's probably better off than Knight Rider as well.

Knight Rider as well.

Between Chuck, KR & Life...KR is top rated so far but it may change, I feel top of that 3 will survive and other two will sink.

My money's still on Chuck. Product placement and DVR will most likely overcompensate for any shortfall in overnight/final numbers between the two, even if KR's numbers do persist. Chuck looks like it's bottomed out now, hopefully it will rebound a little more, but providing they don't trail off any more, it should probably be ok. Just.

Well I guess you know more about ratings stuff than I do, and you may be right on the money. But if Worst Week doesn't make it, it will be a real shame because I feel it's a lot better show than either of those other two possibilities.

But that would be typical gh4chiefs luck, every time I find a new show I really like, it's almost always the guaranteed kiss of death for it. I'm suprised Life has lasted this long.

How about online viewing? That has to count with NBC in some way, since it's cheap to make available and they keep all of the ad revenue (what there is of it anyway).
