good lord The Vampire Diaries is a hit, how on gods green earth did theCW achieve that? not sure the same can be said for Melrose Place however.

Did NBC really repeat Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space straight after they showed it, or is that a mistake?

Eastwick not doing so well

Someone here said that the CW president actually fought not to have it on the channel and lost.

Yes, you can tell if a show is gonig to make it if It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown 509th showing beats a new show!

yes I recall reading that, its amazing Vampire Diaries seems like a built for theCW show, yet it was reject by Miss CW, until she was forced to air it, and now its an a big hit for the channel.

Ive spoken out before about things like "Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" it amazes me it still gets viewers, yet alone 6 million.

Yes, Monsters vs Aliens played twice in a row. And yet it's not being played again after that. Weird hunh?

well I know in the UK MvA DVDs are in the shops now, if it is the same in the US, then im sure that has helped sell a few more DVD, as for no showing in the future, I guess maybe that is just not part of whatever package NBC paid for.

Fine if NBC is only allowed to show it twice, but im not sure why you show it both times in the same hour

Audience finals for the SFF shows:

Wednesday

Eastwick (ABC) - 5.023 million (up from 4.775 million the week before). Doomed.

Thursday

FlashForward (ABC) - 8.924 million (down from 9.874 million the week before). Its lowest audience to date.

Supernatural (CW) - 2.917 million (up from 2.582 million two weeks ago). Its second highest audience of the season to date with only the season premiere scoring higher. That may well go back down, though, when Fringe returns to the air next week and the two shows resume cannibalizing each other.

The Vampire Diaries (CW) - 4.184 million (up from 3.877 million the week before). Its second highest audience to date with only the pilot scoring higher.

FlashForward (ABC) - 8.924 million (down from 9.874 million the week before). Its lowest audience to date.
The demos are what count, and that's even scarier. The show is almost down to Heroes demos. And that's on a network that still has some standards. And on Thurs nite, where expectations are high across all networks. This show has taken five weeks to get down to a level that took Heroes four years.

09.24.09 - 12.47 M - 4.0/12
10.01.09 - 10.73 M - 3.7/11
10.08.09 - 9.00 M - 3.0/9
10.15.09 - 9.07 M - 3.1/9
10.29.09 - 8.98 M - 2.7/ 8

I've seen the baseball phenomenon before - but shows don't always go back up. There's always competition on TV, shows need to be able to survive it.
