Remember only inital numbers...

The Vampires of Venice was watched by 6.2 million viewers with a share of 30.6% of the audience.

5.90 million watched on BBC One, where it was again the most watched programme of the evening, with an additional 0.24 million watching on BBC HD

The rating was down slightly on the previous week due to the earlier time slot of 6pm, which is way too early for Who in my opinion.

On ITV1, Funniest Ever You've Been Framed! had 4.4 million watching. The day was won by Britain's Got Talent with 10.88 million watching.

The Vampires of Venice scored an Appreciation Index figure of 86. A score above 85 is considered excellent.

Sunday's BBC Three the Doctor Who repeat was watched by 0.60 million

LAST WEEK...

Flesh and Stone was watched by 6.9 million viewers with a share of 34.5% of the audience.

Repeat scored 0.63 million

I think final figures will get us about 7.5 million ish so the lowest in 2010. This week we should get final numbers of Flesh and Stone (5x05).

So far (Final numbers)...

The Eleventh Hour - 10.08 million
The Beast Below - 8.42 million
Victory of the Daleks - 7.82 million
Time of The Angels - 8.59 million
Flesh and Stone - N/A

7/8 million per episode is great.:)

The people involved should hold their heads high because despite the BBC being in cutback free fall, the makers of Who continue to making a fantastic bit of quality entertainment....they certainly deserve those figures and I'm glad they are getting them.:techman:

They certainly should be proud! They are making quality television that is bound to stand the test of time. These are classics in the making.

i dunno if the vampires of venice episode could be a classic, i dont think i would watch it again but it was ok

Indeed.

The post above sounded like sickening hyperbole, actually.

VoV was pretty much crap and I have spoken to about ten people this week who really didn't like it.

Sorry, but I don't write sickening hyberole.

No, VoV was not a classic by any means. I'm talking overall obviously. Get a grip guys! ;)

Because 10 people = the general feeling of an episode not the bigger grading polls we run on here or the AI index run by the BBC/BARB.

;)
