    Who's on first, What's on second, and I Don't Know...but I voted anyway.

(can't believe no one used Abbott & Costello!)

I can't believe I didn't think of them earlier. The Three Stooges would be the fourth classic team (though the first funniest to me).

And oh yeah, I voted for (pick out) two Moe Eye Pokes 1a.jpg

Voted for Mr. Hit, I mean, Mr. Hilter.

Here are some more examples of laughable team work:

You know, I almost voted for Penn & Teller, but they really needed an animated avatar. Like this:

Also, I totally forgot about these two, in one of my favorite sketches*:

*I work in retail, and when I talk with co-workers about some difficult customer, we usually drop the "He/She wanted something a little less pirat-y" line.

And where were you a week ago??

I don't recall seeing an animated version in my search results when I was looking. Nice find! :)

Sorry. I was kinda busy making alternatives for the Batman contest.

I actually didn't find it, I made it (which I do when I don't find what I want already as a gif). All using free online tools and sites. Let me move you through it:

    1. Find a YouTube video with the moment you want to use:

    2. Copy the link to it, go to gifs.com. There, you paste the YT link into the indicated space. After the video is uploaded on the site, you can cut it down to the part you want. Click "create gif" button when you're satisfied with what you got.

    3. Click through the pop-ups, then copy the "Direct Link".

    4. Go over to ezgif.com, where you can use the various tools to crop, resize, optimize, etc., the gif to get it to your liking.

That process must manage to make the gif smaller in file size than PhotoShop. Your gifs are usually much better quality than anything I try to make from video. Of course I sometimes try to use something I ripped from a blu-ray in 1080p qualtity, so....

Yeah, HD can be a bitch. It only works when most of the picture stays the same, then you can save it by mostly optimizing the transparency. That way, only the moving parts in the frame actually change and the surroundings work like in a still image.

For me, it isn't the resulting gif, but the comparitively massive size of the file. At least with PS, the higher quality of the incoming video results in a far higher file size going out.

    Oh yeah, that too.
Before I found gifs.com, I used to convert the YT videos to mp4, download them, and then upload them on ezgif.com. Which was really time consuming.

Thank you for sharing your process! I might have to try that out. I used to have a Firefox plugin to extract the video clip I wanted, and then I would create the gif using GAP. But the makers of the plugin made some changes to the newer version that I wasn't happy with, and I haven't really researched any alternatives yet. So recently, I haven't been making entries from online videos.

MP4 Downloader from Tomabo (paid app) is great for video downloading (YT specifically), but occasionally won't download from some other sites. I have PowerDirector for making short clips, then like I said above, have PhotoShop to make the gif, not always to good effect.

This was such a laugh -riot that we have a 4- way tie . I'll bow out, since I did this one. That leaves @Owain Taggart , @Printer's Devil and @Ar-Pharazon to decide amongst yourselves who will do what. If you would prefer a run-off, I can do that, too. Just let me know.

A run-off would be fun, but I'm game for anything :)

    I'm up for a run-off.
