^That was the ONLY episode of VOY I've tried to watch multiple times and just can't bring myself to get all the way through it. I'm with TGB, it sucked. At least with most bad VOY, there's stuff to laugh/snicker at. Not in that one.

Threshold was at least full of laugh out loud, facepalm-inducing hilarity from beginning to end. Lizard babies? Tom pulling out his own tongue? It was so horrifically bad it was almost good. Flashback didn't even have that going for it.

He left Starfleet for a long time because he found it uncomfortable to be working with irrational humans, but having a family tempered his patience and he had his commission reinstated. That's why he was only a Lieutenant when Voyager began.

I'd tell you to watch Flashback to understand the back-story, but I don't want to inflict that episode upon anybody.
