It's fun, but there's so much stuff it's overwhelming.

 

I tried it for my new website, but switched to self-hosted WordPress after about 3 days. Nice for some things, but not for what I wanted.

This. It's horses for courses really. I find the Wordpress system more able to do what I want (one day I really need to switch to self-hosting too...). That's not to say tumblr isn't great for some things (it "feels" like a halfway-house between twitter and wordpress, for example) but it's not what I'm after personally. I do follow some tumblrs through their rss feeds though.
