Snookie considers life without faerie powers; Sam locates shooters; Hoyt finds a new group of friends; Alcide prepares for a fight; Lafayette searches for Jesus' body.

So, why hasn't Lala looked for the body yet? There was that one scene six episodes ago, then it seems like he forgot he had a bf. Weird.

It was a joke. Anyway ... Two decent episodes in a row, I'm impressed.

Russell is back, and he's got the bipolar thing going on full tilt. Another (kind of) regular gone, yay!

Loved Jessica's "Do you know the names of the cows you eat?"

Godric ... Always love seeing him. He's the zen character that brings balance to the force. Or something like that.

So now Sookie can use up her powers like it's a line of credit? And if she uses them all up, she's fully human? What?

LMAO@Sam crawling around on the ground like a hunting dog. That was awesome.

And speaking of returning awesomeness, Bud came back for a cameo. About fricken time. He was always more awesome than Andy. And more level-headed, too.

What about Hoyt? One moment he's allowing himself to be just about drained and the next, he's part of a hate group.

Marked down for Russell's personality transplant. It's true they did their full frontal best when they introduced Lilith to distract us from the Bible thumper rhetoric foisted on the Authority. But not only does it not make any sense (a criterion not seemngly used by the writers for this show,) it also didn't feel honest at all. Well, except when Christopher Heyerdahl did his big scene.
If you insist on bringing Russell, bring him back.

There's been a big drop in emotional intensity uncompensated enough for by wit I think. Pam/Tara and Terry are about the only storylines that are emotionally engaging. And Sam's answer to Kenya and Bud's rant to Andy were just not enough refreshment for this rather parched episode. I'm just not feeling it. Falling Skies was more intense than this, and nearly as funny.

There were two decent scenes in this episode - Terry and the Balrog and the the Authority high on Lilith's blood. The rest was just back to the usual extreme stupidity of the last couple of seasons. Worst episode of the season.

Also, the birth of Lilith scene was a REALLY bad CGI work. Can't they get the same people who do CGI for Game Of Thrones?

Even her 'bush' did not seem right. lol

Yeah, how about that? Is Godric ghost or hallucination? Hopefully, the answer is ghost and we'll be seeing more of him.

Lots of wild stuff in this episode. Lafayette gets all sewn up, Sookie tries to burn herself out, Sam gets all rolly on the floor and Jason shoots Jessica in the head. :rommie: I agree that the old sheriff is a good bet for The Dragon. And I got a kick out of the hate group. "Hate groups are about more than just hate, but if you called them love groups nobody would join." :rommie:

So who will turn out to be the killer of Sookie's parents? Bill or Eric? I think Bill.

I was disappointed in this episode. I think the season just went off the rails. Though it was great seeing the vampires high and interrupting the karaoke session for a snack, and I have to admit that I thought Tara looked great on stage, I think the show has completely muddled the political angle which was really sitting it apart. And along with that, it just feels like all of the other story lines are disconnected.

I liked how the season started, and I even liked Russell staking Roman, which was shocking, but now with Roman gone, the last somewhat coherent person to explain the differences between the mainstreamers and the Sanguinistas is gone. And exactly where are the Sanguinistas? I would have liked to see more of them than what we've seen thus far.

Russell's obviously being completely disingenuous. He'll cut Lilith off at the knees and vaporize her the first chance he gets. He's not all touchy feely in tune with the other vamps. It merely serves his purpose. There were a few pointed....pauses....when he was proclaiming the beauty of Lilith's coming. Russell is still Russell. I'm not buying the conversion for a minute. :p

I think this season is immensely better than last season, which admittedly wouldn't be difficult. Throwing away Tommy as Sam's brother was a big waste and Alcide was wholly superfluous last year, but Alcide almost seems like a real character now. Pity Tommy is still gone, but I appreciated Sam's wistful, nostalgic tear with Sookie when he spoke of family members who'd been hurt. Also, I'm liking Alcide and the pack and the pseudo redemption of Emma's wolfen grandmother. I like the religious whacko nut job vamps; they're Tea Party vamps. Get it?

Bill and Eric being out of Sookie's orbit seems to be the catalyst for the show's improvement. Gods, I like the both of them when they aren't whinging over her. Moyer is still the far superior actor of the two. Lettie Mae is still a bitch. I felt for Tara when she was overwhelmed and hugged Pam. She feels like she has no one else. I don't know how Bill and Eric just walk away from committing a little mass murder at Mardi Gras. Unfortunate weekend for that story to air. Yikes. :o

I'd like Godric to be Eric's force ghost, but I suspect it's Eric conscience, not the real Godric. Glad to see Jason and Jessica get some distance between them, but Hoyt, Hoyt, Hoyt, Hoyt, HOYT....you disappoint me. You're that broken up over your girlfriend leaving you? Show some pride, son.

Nice mystery with "Who killed Sookie's parents?" but I suspect that the writers will pussy out and have it be Russell. They're not going to pin the death of Sookie's parents on Bill or Eric. No way to maintain them as sympathetic characters after such an act. Godric was already reformed by that time, so it couldn't have been him. I can't seem them pinning it on Pam. Jessica wasn't born yet. Reverend Newlin wasn't born yet. Nan Flanagan? The twist hardly seems worth it.

Yeah, it'll be Russell. Other comments? Emma the wolf puppy makes my heart explode with cuteness.

I thought it was a pretty great episode.. I've been enjoying them more and more..

I think Lilith is a mass hallucination, as evidenced by the last scene when Eric "wakes up"...

Of course Russell is playing them all.. He's about as genuine as a wooden nickel.

And maybe I'm just oversensitized to the whole "hate group" thing, but I also thought it was pretty funny to have a black guy in the hate group (and have him dipping, no less)... It would have been pretty simple just to have an all white group wearing Obama masks and REALLY playing up racial stereotypes, so I thought that was pretty clever..
