Our favorite Southern Vampire series is back, with old friends and enemies returning.

From Zap2it -

Sookie and Lafayette clean up a mess; Bill and Eric receive a visit from the Vampire Authority; Alcide's werewolf pack goes after Sam; Jessica enjoys her freedom; Jason is visited by Steve Newlin; Alcide warns Sookie.

Oh, that sounds juicy ... And you know they're going to be in trouble for their attack on Nan, right? Can't wait for tonight!

Even though it means I will never ever be able to give airs to reality TV fans, I'll be tuning in. I have no taste at all.:o

My wish list, even though I know it will be wished in vain:

1. Not to diss Michael McMillian, but if Jason takes a walk on the Wilde side, Hoyt, Hoyt, Hoyt, not Steve Newlin.

2. Andy Bellefleur gets a threeway, just because Chris Bauer is officially awesome (since season 2 of The Wire.)

3. Pam tells Snookie jokes, every episode.

4. It was all a mistake, Marnie, just like Russell, will be back.

5. Terry gets lucid enough to notice Arlene's inner skank.

6. Sookie's IQ gets boosted by magic or omega acids or brain puzzles or something and she kicks Luna out of the series and dates Sam.

7. Alexander Skarsgard, bless his heart, goes full frontal. Anything to distract us from his acting talent!

8. Bill and Portia date, just so we can see Katherine Helmond get the genteel Southern belle vapors.

9. After Hoyt heartlessly throws him aside, Tara realizes that she could be the dominant partner in a relationship with Jason, which is just as good as lesbianism.

10. It occurs to Sookie that she's not always very nice nor is she terribly bright and that people might not like her for damn good reason.

While overall I liked it, I'm taking one point off because they kept that stupid ass Tara around. Sure, now she's a crazy vampire, but come on. Just let the character - such as it is - go, already.

Loved having Rev. Steve come out as gay (like we didn't already suspect), and obsessed with Jason. Then having Steve and Jessica fighting over him. That was some funny shit right there.

Pam had the series' second funniest line to date (after Russell's, of course), when she said she was in a sweat suit from Wal-Mart. Had to rewind it a couple times, I was laughing so hard.

So, guessing Eric's sister is from the South, the way they were getting it on.

I miss Nan already.

Jason really screwed the pooch when he did Hoyt's girlfriend. How could he possibly expect everything to be OK between the two of them like that? I realize he's a little slow, but still ... And speaking of Hoyt, that scene from the preview, where he's dressed sort of goth-like, wearing eyeliner and a mesh shirt ... *drool* mighty fine there.

Bill and Eric, this was almost the beginning of a buddy travel movie.

Where is Jesus's body? Is he really dead?

I love the actor and his eye candy, but is there any point to Alcide anymore? The wolves can go away any time.

My wish is for this show to return to season 1 form.
Last season sucked. It sucked as bad, if not worse, than Dexter's last season.
It sucked so bad, I decided to endure a coffee enema just to clean my bowels of all the crap that season induced.

BANZAI!!!!!!!!!

Despite Robot Vampire Tara, I'm liking where they might be going this season, especially with the return of more Vampire League-related stuff.

She's become my favorite character.

Same here - she gets the best lines.

"Color me impressed, you guys know how to party."

"...even if I tried who's to say she might not rise up out of the ground completely and utterly fucktarded."

"If you can use your magic hand or Super Snatch to fix what's broken between us..."

"I'm wearing a Walmart sweatsuit for you people, if that's not a demonstration of team spirit, I don't know what is."

The Show is getting the 'heroes' problem where they just wont kill off or get rid any of the main characters, thus coming up with all sorts of contrived crazy shit for them. Heroes did the same thing and it helped to kill that show,

So now vampire blood can bring people back from the dead and repair their brains?
What is the point of keeping Arlene, Terry, Hoyt, Sheriff and a bagillion were-everythings?
Jesus' body is gone, prepare for more undead shenanigans.
Please kill off Sookie and Bill.
Please make Pam the star of the show.
Russell is back, which begs the question (actually asked on the show, let's give them a credit) of why wasn't he truly killed back in S3.

2/5, for Pam's lines. I'll check out the next couple of episodes and will probably drop it. Birdemic had a better writing than this show.

3, mainly for Pam lines and Steve Newlin's confession of love.

And I guess it really proves you should be careful what you wish for. My #8 was for Bill/Portia incest. I should have known these guys' ears would only hear the "incest" part.
Eric and Nora forever! :bolian:(You didn't really want Eric and Sookie forever, did you?:evil::evil:)

Yeah that bugs me, I thought the point of taking a head full of buckshot and bits of her brain decorating the kitchen curtains, about 4 pints of blood just on the floor was all to get rid of her.

Ugh...

^^ Are there a lot of Tara fans out there? I'm not really sure what they were going for there. There must have been something last minute because it doesn't seem right to do that if they were always going to bring her back, I'm pretty sure they must have been thinking that was going to be permanent when they started.

Or maybe they'll make her the Bubba from the books. Bring the actress back so that she can play a "completely and utterly fucktarded" character. That I might watch.
But seriously, if the people behind the show wanted to turn her, they had a good opportunity to do so in season 3, with Franklin the crazy vampire.

That, and the writers didn't have a fucking clue what they were doing in season 2 in terms of character development and pacing. That basically set the stage for failure with the marked drop in viewership.

I can't recall the last show that managed to end on a satisfactory note. Maybe DS9....

BANZAI!!!!!!!!!!

^^ DS9 wasn't entirely satisfactory.

Vampire Tara could be interesting, but not if she's completely and utterly fucktarded. Hopefully they'll get around that.

Other than that, the episode was okay. They set up some stuff for later. It wasn't as groovy as a season premiere should be, though.

She took buckshot to the brain, dislodging some of said brain into the decor. I'm sure after a while it'll regenerate but her memories and any information at all on those original cells is just gone.

Zompire!

I'm really liking the new character Naked Werewolf Girl. For some reason.

^^ She needs a haircut.

I'm thinking that a search for a fix, probably a supernatural one, will be a plotline.
