I think someone was very passionate about last night's episode. I enjoyed it as well, though perhaps not as much

.
So far this season is shaping up better than last year. The witches/necromancers are better antagonists than the werewolves turned out to be.
I'm not much of a fan of nice guy Eric. He's too much of a pansy, though he did put Bill down pretty easy. Liking Pam's asides though, and her relationship with Eric remains well handled.
I too liked when Tommy-Sam fired Sookie, as well as his berating her, asking questions that some in the audience-like me-have had for a long time. Winced though when he slept with Sam's girl and then dimissed her like that.
With Tara, I am glad that her girlfriend is deciding to stick it out with her. Tara does need someone. The Lafayette storyline is progressing, but I wonder what possessed him at the end? Was it Jesus's granddad? One thing that diminishes the witch story is that modern witches have to be possessed. I think it would work better if they themselves could just wield that power. Though I did enjoy the Spanish Inquisition flashback.
The Jessica-Jason scene was well done, and we all know where it's headed. Glad that Andy might be getting some play in the near future. With Alcide, it just seems he's taking up space. He's a decent actor and his character is intriguing, but the writers don't seem to know what else to do with him. And making him Sookie's third suitor is stretching things a bit much. I think he should perhaps just be a recurring character, someone very much in the background who swoops in after Eric reverts and breaks Sookie's heart. So we can have the Sookie-Alcide show in Season 5.
Overall, a solid episode. Whenever I think I'm backing out of this series, they rope me back in.
