Posting this early, as I'm on my way to a convention, and won't be back in time to post this on Sunday.

From zap2it:
Sookie nurtures Eric; Bill gets involved in a crisis; Pam takes the veil; Sam becomes Tommy's accomplice; Arlene and Terry seek religion; Jesus and Lafayette travel to Mexico; Jason recovers

It's still cruising along on medium speed i'm afraid. The fact that a day after airing there are no posts and no votes save mine is quite telling.

As to the episode.. bits and pieces i have really liked and some were just meh. I still am totally not interested in Jayson's story, i've been spoiled before about Sookie and Eric which is why the kiss between them was nothing too special and the central "villain" is a confused older lady.. great.

Honestly the only thing really cool was the Godric cameo.. i liked him a lot in his storyline and what little we got and to see him in pure evil mode sent chills down my spine (even of it was clear that it could only be a dream).

So True Blood needs to pick it up fast because right now a medium vote is becoming quite generous.

They need to cut a number of plots and focus on the main story - witches vs vampires.
The stories that have to go - Arlene and the possessed kid, Sam and his idiot brother, Alcide's troubles with people who have no connection to the story whatsoever.
The book which this season is based on is IMO the best book in the series. The season looks very unfocused so far, and it is the fifth episode of twelve.

I loved the end! I'm excited for next week.

But yeah, so many stories! That Alcide part came out of nowhere! Soap Operas are more consistent with their many story lines, and they're all being cancelled!

The show was All About Sookie. Plainly Ball is trying to make it an ensemble show. Unfortunately he doesn't have enough characters. Having Hoyt and Jessica find Jason was one of the few examples of remember that Bon Temps is supposed to be a small town.

The notion that Lafayette can watch a witch beat two vampires, abuse her for getting them into trouble, then run off to a Mexican witch for protection means he isn't gay, he's retarded. Ditto Tara/Tony. The only one who worked as an idiot was Jason because at least he was charming.

Sookie remembered for a moment she can read minds. Although she forgot by the time Jason was obviously being deceptive, about one minute later! Pam however forgot, which since it set her up to make a total fool of herself is something of a character assassination.

The show is what it is, which is a soap opera that makes Dark Shadows' plots look like Hitchcockian masterpieces by comparison. You either enjoy (some of) the characters and the ludicrous scenes or you don't.

And I'm sorry, but Jason's dream 3-way with Jessica and Hoyt was comedy gold.

I loved this weeks episode. especially the fact they put a great sceen from the books into the series. I hope you know the one I mean.

Well, I haven't rated it yet because I don't have HBO and have to watch by *other means.* I can't watch until late Monday nights.

LOVED THE EPISODE. I'm loving this season so much more than the last, but the gorgeous Alcide and his sudden "needing to register with the local pack" is completely superfluous dead weight.

Some points--Tara is right; Sookie is a hypocrite and she's dumber than dirt to boot. Eric did all those things.....but he can change with her luuuuuurvvvve. :barf: You're not 16, Sookie. He's a vampire who thinks nothing of torturing, lying deceiving, and killing if it suits him. The amnesia will eventually go away even if he's cute and cuddly now. She may as well go back to Bill if she's going to be this willfully stupid. You should have listened to your grandmother. You love the man who tortured Lafayette. What a skank.

Jason, Jessica, Hoyt--GOLD. COMEDY GOLD.

Antonia could pull vamps from their sleep, huh? Excellent. The plot thickens.

Tommy and Sam.....nothing more endearing than bonding while feeding your parents to the gators. :guffaw: Now they both know the other has killed. Please, please, please, don't let Tommy betray Sam. This show needs bromance. Come on.....they're both cute.

Wait a minute.....it isn't just Portia that's Bill's great great great great granchild. It's Andy and Terry, too. Awesome cakes. At least Bill has enough couth not to want to fuck his granddaughter. Damn, she was gross for still wanting to do her grandfather. Bleeeeech!!!

Pam, you are so stupid for ratting out Eric because you're upset about your face. Now Bill's going to run over to Sookie's like a big old jackass and get in the middle of things.

Still, it gets a thumbs up from me. Too many storylines but my interest hasn't waned like it did last season.

Yeah, this episode was fun. I wasn't completely sold on this season until now.

I'm just waiting to see the whole Eric thing blow up in Sookie's face. His amnesia can't last forever, can it? She has basically fallen for a non-entity with no history and almost no personality of his own. Just about any of his past victims would be fully justified in killing him, even in his present state. Sookie is a moron.

I was not expecting Tommy to kill his parents, but I'm glad they're dead. If you were supposed to utterly hate those characters, mission accomplished!

I might suggest that if Bill wants to get laid, he should look outside of Bon Temps since it appears he is related to half the town. :p

I wonder how Sookie would feel if Renee had lived, gotten amnesia, and Tara took him into her home because he was all cute and cuddly and confused. Didn't remember killing her grandmother. Tara really would have been justified giving Sookie a fat lip for this.

I enjoyed the episode but they just have too many story-lines going at once. If they dropped Alcide's unrelated stuff, the evil baby, Andy on V, and the Were-panthers then I would be happy. This show should be about the Vampires and Sookie first and foremost.

Yeah, if they really want to shake things up they could kill off half the cast at once and still have plenty of characters to go around.

Give it time. :)

But then, it's clear by now they aren't following all of the book plots - Claudine's death, for example.

I loved, loved, loved Gran's cameo. Despite other flaws in the episode, I'm giving it five fangs just for that scene alone.

Oh, my goodness ... Jason fantasizing about having a threeway with Hoyt ... Last year, they gave us Bill and Sam, this year it's Jason and Hoyt. And how hot did naked Hoyt look? Rawr!

I'm assuming they used some sort of magic to get to Mexico so quickly ... Otherwise, that's, uh, quite a haul for happening in 20 minutes. :guffaw:

Bah. Things on this show proceed at the speed of "TV time." You can get from one place to another in the span of a commercial break, no matter how far apart they are. Though I guess that might not apply to show without commercial breaks. ;)
