"Kalypso Media have today confirmed that the forthcoming Tropico 3 will feature user-generated content on Xbox 360. As the first title to offer home made content via Downloadable Content (DLC), Tropico 3 breaks new ground despite the argument put forward by titles such as Unreal Tournament III and Left 4 Dead.
The publisher has not yet confirmed exactly what will be made available, nor a pricing strategy, but the confirmation that user-generated content will feature on the Xbox LIVE marketplace for the first time will no doubt arouse interest from the modding community, and perhaps even raise some eyebrows amongst other developers disappointed by the lack of such an option in the past.
Tropico 3 is set for release on Xbox 360 and PC Electronic Theatre Imagein the UK this coming Friday, 13th November 2009, alongside another Kalypso Media project, the highly anticipated latest instalment in the Race series, RACE On, for PC.
