Trip to Stockholm, soliciting advice

So I'm being sent by my place of employ to Stockholm for a few days in mid-November. I may or may not have a day to myself during this little jaunt and while that's not really enough time to explore a city I'd like to take in what I can.

I've done some brief bit of research myself (only just found out about this!), but does anyone have any suggestions on what to do for a day in Stockholm and not feel like it was a wasted opportunity? I'd love to visit a museum or 10 but I'm afraid if I do that I'll miss out on the city itself!

The Vasa museum is a must. The Royal Palace also. Although you're usually not allowed inside. Västerlånggatan is a great little shopping trip. There are a few other museums with mentioning. Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet, Tekniska museet, among others.

Probably because prostitution is semi-legal here in sweden. You're allowed to sell, but not buy.
