Tribbles post-DS9

Last night I watched "Trials and Tribble-lations", the ending scene of which shows DS9's promenade covered in little tribbles. Has any author ever mentioned a great tribble revival, or worked them into storylines in any way?

If my Planet Of The Tribbles pitch ever makes it through, then that'll be a yes. But bear in mind that I consider it so unlikely that I've actually been willing to mention it on here several times when I'd think that mentioning a normal pitch would jinx it.

There's a story in Strange New Worlds 09 called "The Tribbles' Pagh" by Ryan M. Williams that's a followup to the ending of "Trials and Tribble-ations," and IMHO a pretty good one.

Ahh, thanks. Can't say I've read too many of the SNW collections, but I'll look for that one.

Does that refer to their original homeworld? I assumed the Klingons annexed it...not that we've ever been told where it is.

I should start an online fan petition in Lonemagpie's behalf to get that greenlit. It wouldn't accomplish much but it would be a hilarious campaign.

^ Which Mandel reiterated in Star Charts.

One of the "articles" in New Worlds, New Civilizations is about how Starfleet resettles the tribbles from DS9 onto a planet called Epsilon XVII, after surveying extensively to find a planet where there is a predator to keep them in check. Like many of the stories in the book, it is pretty rad and the pictures are cool.
