The first three segments of Trenches, a short science fiction action/suspense movie by Shane Felux (Star Wars: Revelations; Pitching Lucas) are now online at Crackle:

This is not a work in progress, BTW, so there should be no delay in the release schedule for the rest of the segments - the movie was finished well over a year ago. It was produced on a remarkably limited budget (about a quarter of a million dollars) as original web content for Disney's Stage 9 Digital project.

Thanks Dennis for posting this, I know Shane is trying to get the word out as much as possible. I made a couple banners for my sites last month to help.

Watched the first three parts. It's semi-impressive for a low budget production. But the action choreography is confusing, and the writing is very pedestrian. I don't get why the guys blame the lead for getting them into this mess. I watched the first episode again and it's still not clear.

I watched the first two minutes and wasn't impressed. I feel bad for saying that because I know how difficult it is to get other people to watch your work -- especially when you're on a limited budget -- but it just didn't do anything for me, and I'm a big fan of science-fiction. As mentioned above, the action choreography was confusing and editorially had no structure or flow. There just seemed like a bunch of choppily cut together shots. The acting was passably mediocre and it just didn't grab me. I might give it another shot.

All the episodes are up on Crackle.com, albeit the sound drops weirdly on one segment and another segment seems missing its opening.

Anyone else seen all of it? Thoughts?
