I am a frequent visitor to TvTropes, a geek-wiki that catalouges all manner of common elements used in television, literature, plays, video games, music, and so on. Tonight I searched for the Destiny trilogy and found a surprisingly detailed article. I imagine the dedicated souls who created it are the same people who frequent TrekBBS, so if you're out there -- thanks. It's definitely the work of fans: There's even a little mini-discussion about the value of the Destiny trilogy. :lol:


Destiny is not alone: other Relaunch series and arcs have their own pages if you are interested in seeing how their articles have developed.

If you're a first-time visitor to TvTropes, be warned: it may consume several hours of your life. TvTropes tabs multiple even faster than Wikipedia articles.

Man, that IS very highly detailed!
 
Wow, that's (the Ds9 Relaunch page) gotta be one of the best Trek lit pages I've ever come across on a non-Trek site.
 
I wrote about 80-90% of the Trek lit stuff on there :D. I kept going back and updating it, because it's fun. Others joined in of course.

It's either mess around on fun, light-hearted sites like that or more work for my degree, and I think we know which is more important...;)

I love the TV Tropes site and I got a massive kick out of finding some of my stuff referenced there. Fantastic job!
 
TvTropes is such a black hole draining one's time that it should be against the Geneva Convention to give people links to it! Or at least registered as a Class A drug...

I was completely gobsmacked to find one of my characters mentioned on TV Tropes. There's a real sense of achievement in that.
