Trekfic writers: what else do you write?

The bulk of my fanfic is right here (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/69169/Admiral). Just read the various subjects at the top of the page.

Nothing. Most of your readership will never review one way or another, and trying to force feedback, whatever your intentions, just makes you look needy. Post your stories and wait. There's nothing else for it.

Maybe you don't use comments and feedback as part of YOUR writing process, but others do, so please check the condescension at the door.

:wtf: WHAT condescension??? I gave you an honest answer to your question! WTF else was I supposed to say?!

A productive response like the one below would have been appropriate, or nothing at all, rather than trying to make the other person feel bad for even asking a question.

I'm curious to know, what do you guys write besides Trekfic? For those works, what do you do to get good, quality feedback in a prompt manner?

Okay, so I admittedly don't write Trek fanfic, not because I don't like the idea, but because I have too many things on my plate already.

That said, if you're looking for feedback on things, I run a site for just that purpose--the one linked in my sig. People post all kinds of writing there, and feedback is heavily encouraged. It usually works out pretty well, and I expect to start ramping up activity again since I got a job.

I do mostly write things with a sci-fi bent, but I also dabble in poetry, essays, and literary fiction at times.

Thanks very much for the link! I'm curious, do you accept all genres there? If so, once I've kind of reconnoitered some I may start posting my novel over there. :)

I also write songs...have three published and hopefully a fourth later this month..all i need is for someone famous to sing them...

What kind of music you ask. Well, soft mushy love songs of course!!!

I also like writing horror, but I haven't done anything in far too long. I've got one published short story to my name-well pen name. I have some original novel ideas-crime and science fiction-but I haven't committed fully to them yet.

Also, for other fan fic-I've been mulling writing an Underworld story that takes place after Underworld Evolution. I really think that story needs to be wrapped up. But I might turn my idea into an original piece instead.

Yes, all genres are accepted. I try to "discourage" fanfic but am not really against it. But poetry, short stories, novels, essays, even reviews--those are all fine by me. If you wrote it, you can post it.

You can also earn money through the tipping system, and I do leave tips on a regular basis. Really, I am just trying to help budding (and even veteran) writers have a nice community and a place to share their work.

While I don't do Trek fanfic here (I thought about it) I mainly get my Trek writing fix through my RPG Group (Link below).
