Missed this before, but over on HeroCollector Rich Handley recently posted a detailed review/overview of @Mark 2000 's Star Trek The Webcomic, covering the entire series to date, concluding with:

IDW, take note: if any fan-made comic has ever deserved print publication, it would be this one.

If you've not read the strip before, or haven't followed closely, this is a good primer/introduction.

Here's a link to the piece (or click the pic).

Handly's bio on HeroCollector:

Rich has written, edited and contributed to numerous books about Star Trek, Star Wars, Planet of the Apes, Watchmen, Back to the Future, Battlestar Galactica, Hellblazer, Blade Runner, Buffy, Angel and the X-Files. He helped IDW produce its five Star Trek comic-strip reprint hardcovers and edits Star Trek: The Graphic Novel Collection.

If I were to rank the stories with #1 being fave...
  1. Time's Refuge
  2. The Word of God
  3. Weapons of Mass Destruction
  4. Peace In Our Time
  5. No Good Deed
  6. Mudd Slide
  7. Basis of Proof
The Motion Picture Redux is not a full story so I can't rate it with the rest.

The current Red Meat is ongoing so I can't rate it until it's finished.

There's a couple of Star Trek II (TV) threads across the BBS, but I didn't want to hijack them with this. But the current serial "Red Meat" is using a lot of the unused designs for the USS Potemkin.

And there's more to come in upcoming strips!

Read the story that I also co-wrote from the beginning here.

It also has that Gold Key vibe to it.
But in a good way.

I don’t know how I missed this all these years but it’s nothing short of amazing. I’ve donated and am eagerly looking forward to more installments, but I disagree on the licensing—I think getting the official imprimatur from CBS/Paramount would be the death of this series / anthology / whatever you want to call this. It’s subversive, and very adult in nature (which is why I like it). TPTB would never sanction a series like this—and if they did, it would only be if the content was drastically diluted.
