Trek picture books for kids

If you've got an idea, Ms. Chambers, I suggest you pitch it to Pocket, or to some other publisher licensed to put out ST content (the "Opposites" book was put out by an outfit called Quirk Books, and it is probably no coincidence that it was written by the owner of that imprint).

I would love to write a Trek book aimed at kids. It's a "Bucket List" item. Don't think I don't seethe with jealousy whenever something like What Would Captain Kirk Do? is announced. :)

Do you mean like along the lines of the Star Trek Book of Opposites?
Not really. It would have a plot. The kind you read to your kids for a bedtime story.

I know Gallery did the Klingon Khristmas book. The art I had in mind would be watercolors with a half-funny, half-realistic style., but not quite what they did there. And not Michael Martchenko-ish, either. (he illustrates Robert Munsch books, for those of you who haven't heard of him.)

Oh, OK. Sounds like you're talking about something like The Truth Machine or The Prisoner of Vega. Those examples are obviously older, so it would be interesting to see new illustrated children's stories come out.

"And thus all the redshirts were brutally murdered. The End.":D

Nothing that morbid. A happy ending.

As you wish:

And thus all the redshirts were brutally murdered.
But suddenly, Lieutenant Leslie came back to life. The End.
;)
