Trek Lit: The Musical!

Like many people, I often like to consider the books I read alongside music (this includes Star Trek books). Where I might be a little unusual, though (or not; who knows?), is that I often relate books to songs, with the lyrics considered as well. I've joked on the forum recently regarding how I tend to think of the recently-concluded Andorian arc as "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" (and have done since we first met Shar and started learning about his situation). Does anyone else have songs brought to mind by any of Trek Lit's many plot threads or characters?

(Many of the authors could tell us about the musical pieces that inspired their writing of certain passages, of course, and have done in the past to great success, but this time I'm only asking after songs, and from all of you).

If you don't have any, get thinking! We need appropriate songs for any number of characters, story arcs or situations. Let's create Trek Lit: The Musical!

How about "Let the bodies hit the floor" by Drowning Pool? That would go with almost any David Mack Trek novel.

I tried to do a thread like this a while back, and had a whole bunch of songs in mind for the different series and characters, but it's been ages and I don't remember what any of them were.

Whenever I read the finale to the Destiny trilogy -- the sequence with the final confrontation between the Borg, the Federation, and the Caeliar -- I inevitably find myself visualizing everything happening, cinema-style, synched up with the original Broadway cast version of "The Song of Purple Summer" from the musical Spring Awakening.

The original lyrics (they were later changed for the Broadway run and for future touring and regional productions) are as follows:

A Singular Destiny's soundtrack is mostly there in the text in the songs played by Sonek Pran and others during the jam sessions, though I think the one that's most apt is "Estadio Chile" by Victor Jara.
