Trek lit in Gitmo?

Kobayashi Maru is actually worse than the Twilight books. This prison truly is he'll on earth...

Can I ask why you thought KM was bad? I have no intention of reading yet another over-romanticized version of a vampyric and lupine war, so I won't have any basis for comparison. I happened to really enjoy KM.

Same here. It wasn't my favorite Trek book ever, and I remember thinking some things were odd, but I didn't think it was that bad.

I liked the fact that somehow a human captain has acquired an old klingon neutronic fuel carrier. That actually made me smile.

Yeah, but the actual character was one of the low points of the book, at least for me.

Well, his voice in TWOK sounded flamboyant and haughty to enough. Sort of. As much as three lines can.

I wouldn't be surprised if part of the reason he was rather repellant was so that the Final Flight of the Kobayashi Maru wouldn't be a total downer. Imagine if we actually liked him?

Then'd I'd feel ever worse about Calhoun assuming he was a romulan spy and blowing him up.

I agree. I didn't exactly sweat it over his future death while reading it, might have been nice to actually feel bad for him. I was not enamored with KM, I think the build up to a book with that title set me up for a let down (yes I know there was another trek book with that title).

Still if I was in Gitmo I would be MOST HAPPY to read a Trek book. I wonder though if this library is for prisoners or those that work there?

"Oh, that Captain Janeway--she can point at my genitals all she wants."

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

I can't speak for Bishop, but I can tell you why Kobayashi Maru is likely the last ENT book I'll read:
