Trek kit - help

Dear all
OK - I am sooooo new to this but nothing ventured nothing gained. And I apologies in advance if I commit some dreadful forum faux pa - if I do - please let me know

I was originally a huge fan of Next Generation - in fact at the time I was in the army (hence my name) and I boringly insisted that my entire tank crew respond to my Picardisms eg “make it so” = move now and my favourite "engage" = fire. Looking back I can hardly believe they let such a young kid in charge of things like that

Anyway - I digress (probably because this is my 1st thread

I have a question - my stepson is a big fan of Enterprise and I need to come across as in the know - particularly as his birthday is soon upon us

So - the question is - where are the cool "Trek Kit" sites where I can buy stuff to keep surprising him.

^ Hey tankboy I think I can help, now you are looking to buy the models right? here are a cupple of GREAT sites I go to to buy stuff. www.federationmodels.com www.culttvmanshop.com Both these sites have the licenced & garage kit versions of MANY of the ships not just from ENTERPRISE, but from every trek production out there. In fact federation had a garage kit of the AKIRA class long before Round2 announced they were going to release it!

Go to the store to buy model kits, go to the message boards to get advice on building them and shoot the breeze with sci fi modelers. This is probably the best place of all for you to start.

www.federationmodels.com has advanced resin Trek model kits as well as the plastic kits, but the resin kits sure ain't for beginners.

www.cutltvman.com is similar to Starship Modeler - good message board and good store for all sorts of sci fi models.

Thanks and welcome to the TREK BBS! Now clothing, hats and stuff AHHH I would look at ebay, I know that's not a great answer, but that's the only place I can think of? Unless you have a comic shop withen the area, then you could go there and ask if they could order you something from PREVIEWS.

Oh, and tankboy your stepson has good taste, ENTERPRISE is my favorite TREK series and the NX-O1 is my favorite ship from TREK by far!.

There actually used to be stores you could go to and buy trek costumes. At least there was one here in NJ.

Used to be lots of online places too.
