Trek Audiobooks

Where do people get free audiobooks? Besides using library apps like libby already doing what I can there.

Paying for audiobooks helps to convince Simon & Schuster to keep creating new audiobooks.

And helps keep the people who wrote, performed, and produced the audiobooks gainfully employed and able to make more. Libraries are cool, since they pay for the books in their collections. If a library doesn't have a particular book, you can request that they add it.

I've given up hope that Simon & Schuster will ever go back and create audiobooks for its entire catalogue of Star Trek novels. Has anyone here experimented with getting AI to read novels? I know some AI programs are very good at imitating human speech, but I don't know which ones. I hope what I'm asking isn't against the rules here.

I’ve never used this feature, so I don’t know how well it works, but I spot-checked some older Star Trek Kindle books, and they seemed to all have text-to-speech enabled in the product listing, so that may be an option for you if you really want to listen to them.
